My place is close to Moira Furnace and Canal, The National Forest, Conkers Discovery Centre, Walking Trails, Hicks Lodge Cycle Hire, Tamworth Snowdome, Donnington Racetrack and The National Exhibition Centre. My place is good for couples, business travellers, and families. My lodge is situated at Shortheath Water in The Heart of the National Forest. There is an abundance of walks on the doorstep with footpaths starting within 50m of the property. We are 3 milers from the historical market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. On site there is a 24 peg coarse fishing lake and Lakeside Bistro which serves breakfasts, homemade lunches, afternoon teas Tuesday to Sunday, Friday and Saturday evening meals and Traditional Roast Sunday lunch. There is a fishing lake and a bistro onsite which serves breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays. It is open everyday except Monday. In Moira village there are many trails and walks in The heart of the National Forest. There is a small Co-op supermarket 2 minutes from the lodge and the towns of Swadlincote and Ashby-de-la-Zouch (3 mile away) have larger stores and attractions.
