The cart shed is a beautiful barn conversion in the village of Weybourne on the North Norfolk Coast. With a wood burner and underfloor heating its perfect for a winter break for 2. Its rustic, cosy and romantic. And you might like to bring your dog! The Cart Shed is a beautiful brick and flint barn conversion. It really was the cart shed at one time, and has one of the old cart wheels found there at the time of renovation up on the wall, as well as the original windows. It is wonderfully spacious, full of character, comfortable, and warm. It has a large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with vaulted ceilings, original beams and exposed brick and flint walls. There is a wood burning stove in the main living area [with a useful sheila maid drying rack over], and underfloor heating under the whole ground floor - making it really cosy for the winter months. There is also a large bathroom downstairs, with roll top bath, shower over, heated towel rail, toilet, bidet, and sink. Upstairs there is a bedroom in the eaves with a comfortable king-size bed and a landing where you could put a cot or small bed for a child. Free Wifi included. The car port can be used as an outside living space like a verandah - which is especially nice in the morning when the sun comes streaming in. Beyond that there is a communal gravelled area shared by the other barns in the development. There is a small gate adjacent to the property that leads straight out onto Holt Road - and in one direction you are quickly into countryside with marked footpaths, and in the other it is a short stroll into the centre of the village and on down to the sea. The barn is perfect for a couple and one well- behaved dog is welcome. There are 2 carports for use by visitors at the barn - one can be used for your car, and the other can be used for outside spacewith table and chairs. The Cart Shed is in a prime location in the village of Weybourne on the North Norfolk (URL HIDDEN) is set in a development of barns close to the centre of the village. The local shop (which also sells coffees, cakes and croissants), and the local pub -The Ship - for good food or a drink, are just a couple of hundred yards away. And the sea is just a few minutes walk away down Beach lane beyond the village shop. Weybourne is an ideal base for exploring the many attractions that North Norfolk has to offer, The Georgian town of Holt is just 3 miles away, with its numerous boutiques, antique shops, cafes and restaurants. The popular coastal town of Sheringham is just 3 miles in the other direction, and if you don't want to drive, it is a pleasant walk there from Weybourne along the cliffs. Cley-Next-Sea is nearby with its pottery, deli, windmill, arts and crafts galleries and the Cley Marshes Nature reserve - a world renowned bird-watching site. In Blakeney you can go out on a boat to see the seals on Blakeney point. Then there is Wells-next-Sea - a beautiful and historic harbour and seaside resort with its fabulous beach. Practically on your doorstep you have the beautiful Sheringham Park, and Kelling Heath for miles and miles of walks. There is a leisure centre with pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym just a couple of minutes drive away from the barn, in Kelling Heath Holiday Park, set in 250 acres of woodland and rare open heath. There are numerous country parks, stately homes and gardens within easy reach for day's out, including Holkham with its beautiful beach, and Blickling Hall near Aylsham. Then there's the Poppy Line - a heritage steam railway that runs between Holt and Sheringham and stops in Weybourne. And there's the coast hopper bus if you dont want to take the car- a hop on, hop off bus service that goes round the North Norfolk coast r [and I believe you can take your dog too!) Thats the great thing about Norfolk - there's lots of things to do, places to visit, excellent eateries and pubs - all without having to go too far once you get there! There is off road parking in a car port for 2 cars. The coast hopper bus can be hooped onto about 100m away. You can walk to Weybourne station and catch the steam train into Sheringham or Holt.
