Haven Gore

We are 2 miles from John O'Groats, overlooking stunning seaviews of the Orkney Islands. Relax in our spacious sun porch and enjoy a taste of a malt whisky or our local Rock Rose Gin. We provide a Welcome tray of essentials for your stay. Haven Gore was previously run as a B&B for over 30 years. It's rooms are spacious and all rooms are situated on the ground floor. There is a large car parking area to the front of the property. Guests will have access to the large kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and our newly refurbished sun porch and lounge. I like to meet with our guests and show them round the house. We live in close proximity to the property so are always on hand to help with anything, either by telephoning us or calling round to the house. Our house is situated in the countryside with stunning seaviews. We are a two minute walk down to a lovely wee beach where you will often see seals either basking on rocks or see them swimming by. If you're very lucky you may spot a pod of orca's or porpoises or even an otter. We are approximately 18 miles from Wick/John O'Groats airport. There are train stations situated in our local towns Wick and Thurso and offers a service to and from Inverness. There are two local ferry's which offer a great service over to the Orkney Islands. One is a car/passenger ferry which is situated at Gills Bay and the other is a passenger ferry situated in John O 'Groats. The John O'Groats ferry offers day trips to the Orkney's. They also do a fabulous wildlife cruise.
