The Cottage is located on “The Island “ in Castleton and is perfectly positioned to be within walking distance of all the main attractions that Castleton has to offer . The streams Mill Leat and Peakshole water both run past the cottage, which you can hear from the bedrooms or terrace , making it a very tranquil setting The kitchen is well equipped with all pots pans knives utensils etc and there is a dishwasher The Cottage has a large dining room with farmhouse table that seats 6 . The spacious lounge has a 3 seater sofa , leather armchair and foot stool . There is full gas central heating and underfloor heating in the lounge and dining room . There is also a gas effect log burner and WiFi . There is a TV with Freeview and Netflix. The kitchen has a dishwasher , fridge freezer, microwave , cooker and hob . There is also a washing machine . The large master bedroom has an ensuite toilet and the second bedroom has twin beds and tv . The bathroom has a bath with shower over , toilet and handbasin. All linen and towels are included as are toiletries , hot drink and kitchen essentials . There is a small private terrace at the back of the property and also a car parking space at the front of the property with additional pass for the main village carpark. The cottage is privately for your use . 3pm Check in and 11am check out I am contactable by phone The Cottage is set on “the island” , a totally un spoilt place in the centre of Castleton. There is a car parking space outside the front of the cottage, for busy times there is a complimentary pass for the car park opposite Should you wish to come by train, the nearest station is Hope station 2 miles away. The cottage does have a car parking space, at busy times access can be very tight . There is a busy pedestrian access way so we would say please take care when reversing out of the car parking space, we provide a free pass for the main visitor centre car park across the road. We would advise that if you are using your car regularly you use the visitor pass for the car park. The cottage dates back to the 1800s and there are some low doorways and beams throughout the cottage The cave stream “peakshole water “ runs in front of the car parking space behind a wall and we would just ask that you take care with young children. We do except one well-behaved dog to be kept off the soft furnishings and downstairs, we make a charge of £25 for a dog. Please bring your own dog bed .
