Driftwood Cottage is a privately owned 3-bedroom cottage lying in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage which sleeps 5 is situated in Pendra Loweth, a peaceful landscaped 16 acre holiday village on the outskirts of Falmouth. Set in the wooded Maen Valley, with a stream running through the site it is the ideal location for a relaxing holiday, watching the squirrels play during the day and listening to the hoot of the owls at night. Pendra Loweth village has many opportunities for leisure activities at no extra charge. There is a well-equipped gym, jacuzzi and splash pool. There are two all-weather tennis courts, football net and a new children’s play area. Coin operated laundry facilities are also available on site. Driftwood Cottage, with its own superfast fibre broadband wifi access is situated on the edge of the village in a quiet location with little passing traffic and an allocated parking space directly opposite the front door. There are lawns to front and rear and a patio with picnic table and barbeque at the rear of the house. The cottage is ideally suited to explore the bustling harbour town of Falmouth, with variety of boat trips available, along with Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall to visit. The town boasts many independent shops and an array of excellent restaurants. Falmouth has 3 safe, sandy beaches as well as opportunities for trying out a range of watersports. It is also an ideal base for exploring the rest of the wonderful county of Cornwall with the Eden Project, the beautiful Lizard Peninsula, Lands End, St Ives and the famous surfing beaches of the North Coast all within an hour’s drive. Our kitchen is now equipped with a full-size dishwashing machine as well as fridge freezer and washing machine. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE POOLS WILL BE UNAVAILABLE THIS YEAR UNTIL ALL COVID RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED.
