Archontiko Angelou - villa

Renovated summer villa of 1895 surrounded by a garden of 5,500 sq.meters situated in a quiet spot, two hundred fifty meters from the beach of Alinda. It can sleep up to 22 guests in 6 rooms and two suites. Ideal for retreats, seminars and family reunions. Two bedrooms have air conditioning and all have fans. The house is made of stone and the use of air conditioning is not necessary. The building itself, the garden, peacefulness, atmosphere and proximity to the beach, tavernas and shops at the same time. In the garden of 5.500 sq. meters we have over 100 year old trees, flowers, vine yard, olive trees, orchard, vegetables and herbs. Many tables and chairs are scatered in the garden the garden. There is an outside bar- kitchen area for preparation of simple meals or drinks. I will give information and any assistance needed to make sure my guests will have a pleasurable stay. Service and change of linen is twice a week. When on Leros I stay at the building katikia behind the main house. Leros attractions: a. Lakki for the architecture. It was founded in 1932 by the Italians : Porto Lago b. The castle with its eclisiatic museum and the grave of Gavrilia who was a 20th century saintly Greek Orthodox nun. c. beautiful chapels of Aghios Isidoros, Panagia Kavouradaina and more. d. Medieval church of Aghios Theologos, one of the most important medieval monuments in the Aegean e. scuba diving in the ship and plane wrecks around Leros f. The war museum in the tunnel in Merikia g. The folcloric museum in Alinda h. Nice tavernas in different spots by the sea with good food i. Aghia Marina, the capital of Leros with its beautiful old Neoclasical houses j. All the ruins left from the italians and world war 2. Leros was the island that inspired the book and movie The Guns of Navarone. k. The nearby small islands for swimming and daily excursions There is only one bus on Leros running up and down the island. You can hire scooters, cars, bicycles of course. Distances are very small on this island luckily . Only 15 km from one south to north. Archontiko Angelou is 5 minutes by taxi from the airport. If you choose to rent a car you can ask them to deliver it at the airport. Archontiko Angelou is a house converted into a hotel that can be rented as a villa for private groups. If you wish we can prepare breakfasts, vegetarian meals, raw food desserts, gluten free breads and biscuits, at extra cost with prior agreement. Rooms are cleaned and linen changed twice a week. The wifi works in the garden, in the dinning room and hall upstairs and in some rooms. At the back of the house there is the service area (laundry room and staff rooms). Laundry service is available at extra cost.
