Believed to date from the late (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) 's, the Red Barn is situated in the characterful and tranquil village of Foulsham in the heart of North Norfolk. Converted to a family home in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , it boasts a spacious 36 square metre guest suite with en-suite facilities and private access which we offer as bed & breakfast accommodation. With timber beams and vaulted ceiling, the suite opens onto the attractive courtyard garden. Breakfast is served in the main house or, weather permitting, in the courtyard. The guest suite is situated within one of the two converted barns which form our home. Covering a generous area of approximately 36 square metres, the open plan suite is furnished with a superking sized bed, 2 seater sofa, coffee table, console table and sideboard. It has its own private facilities including w/c and shower. You will have access to the complementary WiFi, digital TV, DVD, radio/CD/bluetooth, USB charging sockets, tea and coffee making facilities and a refrigerator with ice making facilities. Glazed double doors lead directly into the courtyard garden, which you are welcome to make use of. Guest parking is provided alongside the main house. From here, you will have direct access to the guest suite via the side gate and courtyard garden, so you are free to come and go as you please without the need to come through the main house. Breakfast will be served in the main house (across the courtyard), either in our conservatory or dining room. In favourable weather, breakfast may be taken al-fresco in our courtyard if you wish. We offer a continental style breakfast, including pastries, toast, cereals, yoghurt, seasonal fruits, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Guests with allergies or dietary restrictions are requested to let us know in advance of their visit so that we can better tailor our breakfast offering. We appreciate that you may be here to enjoy some peace and quiet, in which case we fully respect your privacy. However, we are on hand to answer any questions or offer advice on things to see and do in the area. The Red Barn is situated in the characterful and tranquil village of Foulsham in the heart of North Norfolk. Foulsham sits just off the A (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , about 7 miles south east of Fakenham and less than 18 miles north west of the City of Norwich, making it an ideal location from which to explore all that Norfolk has to offer, including the award winning beaches of the North Norfolk Coast as well as the Norfolk Broads and, of course, the historical City of Norwich. The village of Foulsham retains a good degree of historic architecture from the 16th and 17th centuries and is surrounded by rich farmland. The oldest dwelling dates back as far as the mid (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) 's and the parish church, Holy Innocents, dates from the 14th and 15th centuries. To the north of the village is the disused airfield used in WWII by 2 Group Bomber Command, including 192 Squadron which undertook electronic intelligence during the war. Off-street parking is available for one guest vehicle, beside the main barn. Taxis are available from within the village and surrounding areas. For guests not wishing to drive into the heart of the City, there are several easily accessed park-and-ride schemes on the outskirts of Norwich. Foulsham offers cyclists easy access to the Marriotts Way and other national cycle routes. There is a shuttle bus service linking Foulsham to neighbouring village, Bawdeswell, where the X29 bus into Norwich can be accessed. We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 5 star food hygiene rating. The Red Barn is not licensed to sell alcohol, but guests are welcome to enjoy their own responsibly. Glasses, bottle opener and ice are provided. We have made some changes to our operating procedures in response to the Covid19 pandemic and we are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Visit England 'Good to Go' certificate. Please note that we have a slightly earlier checkout time of 10:30 during the pandemic, to allow more time for deep cleaning of the accommodation. The Red Barn is within walking distance of the village convenience store and the Queen's Head pub. The pub serves evening meals and is convenient for guests not wishing to go too far. You are advised to check serving times and availability (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Sorry, we don't allow pets. Smoking/vaping is not permitted in any part of the property. If you have any allergies, please let us know in advance of your visit so that we can better tailor our breakfast offering. Complimentary WiFi internet access is provided.
