Shepherds Hut at Grey Cottage

Traditional style Shepherds Hut in the one acre garden of a 16th Century Suffolk Cottage. Located in the centre of Wortham, on the ancient Common known as Long Green. The pretty market town of Diss is just a few miles away with Bury St Edmunds and Norwich around 30 minutes by road. The Shepherds Hut sits in our garden of just under one acre. It offers privacy and we will leave you to your own devices but if you need us for any reason we are not far away. We keep Chickens and Bees and the garden is laid to lawn and has wooded sections as well. Tea & Coffee making facilities within the Hut together with a mini fridge, TV with free view channels and DVD player. We do have a Cross Trainer available together with secure storage for bicycles. We live on site and are readily available if required. Wortham is a small village with a Tea Room and Post Office and stores. Breakfast can be obtained from the tea room although this is closed on Sundays but Diss offers various alternatives . There are plenty of walks and good views of the fine Suffolk countryside. Nearby Diss is a pretty market town with a good range of shops and a park surrounding the towns main feature, The Mere. We are around 40 minutes drive from the Suffolk Coast and the historic town of Bury St Edmunds and City of Norwich are around 30 minutes away. Parking is available on site. We are around 4 miles from Diss Railway station which is on the main line between London and Norwich and are happy to collect you from the station if this helps. We do have a couple of friendly dogs who are supervised when outside.
