Country retreat in Mayenne

Our stone house is situated in the beautiful countryside of Mayenne. The guest side of the house has a large spacious oak beamed room ideal for working or relaxing. It is peaceful and good for yoga and meditation. There is a piano also and suits musicians looking for a 24 hour opportunity to practice without any neighbours. You can eat breakfast and cold food this side but if you want to cook you use the family quarters. It is approximmately 3 hours from Paris by car and 2 hours by train. There is a double bedroom, bathroom (shower and toilet) and a larger living room. In the living room there is availability for a maximum of 3 more guests on a futon, bed setee. There are facilities for tea, coffee and snacks but if you want to cook a meal you share the kitchen or we can cook a meal for you at a small extra cost. You have your own entry to the house. The picturesque towns of Laval which houses the 3 Elephants festival is 45 minutes away. Take a boat trip down the Mayenne river and see the locks and keepers houses. In lassay les Chateaux, 11k a medieval town, there is a beautiful chateau, rose garden and herb garden. It is know for the conection with the impressionists painters Pissarro and Piette and they are celebrated in a walk in the countryside where copies of their work can be seen. Walks in the countryside provide good relaxation and a rest from the busy city life. It provides photography material and artistic inspiration. The local town of Mayenne, 18k is also situated on the river with a chateau. Alencon is the direction Paris - 45K. Parking is outside the house and the village of Le Ribay is walkable but a car is essential. You have one side of the house to yourselves.
