Region is known for plenty of caves - Dobšinská Ice Cave or world unique - Ochtinská Aragonite Cave. In winter you can ski in ski-resorts Spišská Nová Ves-Rittenberg, Levočská dolina-Levoča Valley, Krompachy-Plejsy and in High Tatras. The highest Slovak mountains High Tatras, is located 30 minutes from accommodation and offer beautiful views and attract mountain climbers, in winter skiers and a lot of tourists as well. Having a very clear environment the High Tatras are used for healing respiratory illnesses. The Spiš region has been endowed by a really beautiful nature and the unique scenery of the National Park Pieniny with the Dunajec river.
