Villa Ghysbrecht is a former notary building which was carefully restored and can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests. As such, it is ideally located for exploring the Belgian Westhoek and beyond. The residence consists of 6 spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a sauna. The house has been fitted with every conceivable comfort. The whole residence has been accommodated with central heating, and in addition the dining room can be warmed using a big wood stove. Firewood will be made ready for your stay! The residence comes fully equipped with a large kitchen with industrial stove, oven, microwave and spacious American-style fridge. In addition to our large outdoor terrace which is accommodated with a big barbecue, there is also a spacious covered terrace overlooking the large enclosed garden. The back of the garden overviews our pastures with a small stable where our two donkeys live. We make everything as easy for you as possible. You do not need to bring your own bedding, as all bed linen are provided. All plates, cutlery and kitchen equipment are available in more than sufficient amounts. There is a good music system, digital television and wi-fi. In the relaxation area, there is a football table and a pool table. Ample parking and a bicycle storage room are available. Located in the rural village of Gijverinkhove, you are at a distance of 15 km from the beach and the dunes, while also being surrounded by the historical cities of Veurne, Diksmuide, Lo, Ypres and Poperinge. Memories of the Great War are still very tangible in the landscape. Moreover, there are numerous cycle routes exploring the neighboring countryside. The French border is very nearby, and the French-Flemish cities of Bergues, Hondschoote, Dunkerque en Cassel are definitely worth a visit. Furthermore, Calais’ beautiful Côte d’Opale is at less than an hour’s drive. The many delightful restaurants and cosy cafés in the area give visitors the chance to discover our regional hospitality and to try some of the local beers. The price includes cleaning after stay, but we do ask of you to sweep the house before you leave. and empty the dishwasher and the fridge and freezer, and to put everything back on its place.
