Stylish Victorian 2 Bed Townhouse
Stylish Victorian terraced house on a private road in the Oxfordshire market town of Banbury. Enjoy the cosy living room with wood burning stove, the sunny courtyard or a walk in the local countryside. The house is an easy walk from the station and very well situated to visit Bicester Village, Silverstone, Aynhoe Park, Blenheim Palace and the cotswolds villages. The station with fast trains to London, Oxford and Birmingham is within 10 mins walking distance. I spent many happy years living here as my sole residence and have been lucky enough to be able to keep the house as a retreat and an airb&b premises for others to enjoy. This house is packed with period charm, which we’ve carefully and sympathetically modernised. You have full access to the house and will find it to the standard of a well equipped bed and breakfast without the awkwardness of feeling you're in someone else's house, as it is used solely as a holiday home. There’s a brand new bathroom with a fantastic shower, wooden sash windows throughout, a Morris & Co tiled fireplace and a bright courtyard garden. NB - one or two pictures are from before I had the floors done. Wooden flooring thoughout downstairs now! We live in a close by village so can easily be available if you need anything or any local recommendations. The house is tucked away on a peaceful road, but Banbury is only five minutes on foot. We’re just around the corner from Banbury Cross. The town has a great farmers market, lots of cafes and bars and is packed with beautiful buildings. We’re right on the edge of the Cotswolds and the Oxfordshire countryside is minutes away by car. Ask us for pub walk recommendations! The property has one parking space - but it’s not a very large one! I can easily park my 5 door hatchback on it and I’ve squeezed a small 4X4 on it in the past (but I’ve had quite a lot of practice!) But please be careful of the lamppost at the end of the road, as it has caught a few cars out. There is also ample on-road parking and a large private carpark which is free to use on evenings and weekends - just make sure you check the signs. The train station is within easy walking distance, and there are regular busses from the main road, which is just a few minutes walk away. Charging a cleaning fee means that we can lower the price per night! This means that on stays longer than two nights, the house is especially good value. Pets are welcome free of charge.
