There is a small kitchen with table and seating for those who want to eat in. RECYCLING we’d be grateful if guests took advantage of our special recycling area which is pro foot guests ( instructions in kitchen) Although attached to the main house this cottage is completly self contained . There are two bedrooms a twin and double. Cars can be parked in front of the green garage gates which are not in use. The laundry room with washing machine basin and drier is shared ( with us) and has a separate entrance for us RECYCLING AREA - diagram on Checkin photos & listing photos There is security lighting Our tennis court is available (free) racquets and balls provided which are in our back glass entrance hall. There is TV in the bedrooms. And Sky TV in the sitting room Netflix and BT sports We and our family use the back garden and would ask our guests to respect our privacy here. Your enclosed terrace with fountain has garden furniture and a parasol and you have the use of the front garden ( not fully enclosed) ACCESS To access Walnut Wing Cottage please walk down FRONT of main house facing the village road - terrace has a fountain & front door clearly labelled If there are any problems we will try to help. Otherwise we hope our guests will enjoy their independence- full access details are available after booking There will be no other guests in the cottage whilst you are there. The only thing we have to share is the laundry room which has separate access for us. We hope you will enjoy your stay! The Cotswolds are known for their beauty historic buildings charming villages pubs walks and places of interest. These villages include Stratford on Avon Moreton in Marsh( mainline station Paddington Oxford Worcester Hereford )Broadway ( where there's a great playground) Bourton on the Water ( Birdland and model village) Chipping Campden- a beautiful village with many eateries and The Volunteer Inn for curry and bike hire) Blockley ( walks a gym village shop and post office and two pubs- Bourton on the Hill ( nice pub there The Coach and Horses) pretty Ilmington(The Howard Arms) and Ebrington both with their superb pubs ( the Ebrington Arms) In our village we are proud to have The Churchill Arms where the food and drink are excellent! Shipston on Stour another very local small market town is interesting to visit. There is a mainline station at Moreton-in-Marsh 5-6 miles away giving good access to Oxford and Paddington London Worcester and Hereford. Many local taxis are available ( book in advance ) Bicycles can be hired locally at The Volunteer Inn Chipping Campden Birmingham International Airport is approx 45 mins away Car Hire Robinson-Goss at Shipston on Stour 8 m away ( cars can be rented and returned there) Larger car rental firms have bases in Oxford Gloucester Cheltenham which are all about an hour away There are some buses in the North Cotswolds which travel to the many Cotswold villages eg Bourton on the Water Moreton in Marsh Stow -timetables on the internet Children should be able to manage steps and stairs This cottage is not suitable for those who are very frail A car is essential as can be difficult to get taxis unless in advance Please note that it’s virtually impossible to keep an old Cotswold cottage with open fire and exposed stone dust free especially when it’s windy however the cottage is expertly cleaned Your understanding will be much appreciated
