Charming 16th Century house near the Suffolk Coast
Enjoy a relaxing getaway in our 16th Century thatched cottage. Nestled in the sleepy Suffolk hamlet of Chediston, our holiday home is ideally located for exploring the Norfolk Broads and the beautiful Suffolk coast. Have fun exploring the rural footpaths on the doorstep, or take trip to popular nearby towns such as Southwold and Aldeburgh. Perfect for couples or small families who enjoy a holiday in the countryside, with numerous sights and attractions within easy reach. A cosy two bedroom cottage with exposed timber beams and thatched roof. Downstairs there is a spacious kitchen with dining table and chairs, a comfortable sitting room with an open fire, and a modern bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with a wardrobe and chest of drawers, and a window overlooking the front garden. At the rear is a single bedroom which can be made up with an additional bed suitable for a child. The window overlooks the back garden and has views to the village church. The cottage has private gardens to the front and rear equipped with garden furniture. There is private parking at the rear of the property, which is accessed via a small lane leading to the village church. Further parking is available by the church. We live nearby so can be available if needed but will otherwise leave our guests in peace Chediston is located two miles from the market town of Halesworth which has a train station, a supermarket, and independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There are many delightful rural pubs in the villages nearby, and further afield there is a Waitrose in Saxmundham. The popular coastal town of Southwold is 20 minutes drive away and provides lots more options for shopping, eating and drinking.
