The house was built in 2005 and is located in the idyllic Bredetved close to the Munkholm Bridge, Holbæk Fjord, the forest and fields. Bed & Breakfast style guest room with en suite bathroom with shower and separate entrance. There are views of both horses and vineyards on the neighboring country estate from the large garden, which you are welcome to frolic in. Here are both apple, pear and cherry trees & raspberry, gooseberry and blackcurrant bushes that you can eat from - and there are only a few hundred meters to Holbæk Fjord / Bredetved Strand and Munkholm Ice House by the bridge. Holbæk town is just a short drive from the address, where you can quickly and easily arrange both shopping, or just go shopping in the many beautiful shops. The pharmacy can also be found here - just ask to go to downtown Holbæk, street name is Ahlgade. Here you will find lots of cafes and restaurants with outdoor dining, delicious shops and also a large cinema. If you are going on a longer excursion, you also have easy access to the motorway and train. From the harbor in Holbæk there is a ferry directly to Orø. If you want to get in the water, canoes can be rented from the neighbor. Separate entrance, and en-suite room with a beautiful bathroom with shower. Access to large and beautiful garden and terrace. We do not disturb our guests unnecessarily, but we like to give a cup of coffee / tea in the afternoon. And if you are guests at the weekend, we are happy to make a small breakfast for you, which you can enjoy in the room or come in and eat in our country kitchen. Weather permitting, you can also enjoy it on the terrace overlooking horses, vineyards and hives. Shopping 2.6 km / Rema1000. Bus stop 5 m. Beach and fjord 1 km. Ice house 2 km (Munkholm kiosk). Why is our Bed & Breakfast called "The Friendly (G) Host"? On our very first trip together to the East Coast of the USA in 2011, we stopped at a fantastic cozy little diner to get a cup of coffee. We ordered our coffee at checkout from a sweet waitress who immediately calls me "Hon" (short for Honey) and asks where we come from and what our names are (did we really look like tourists?). She scribbled something on the cardboard mugs, which we then found out was a very common thing - well, so you do not just sip someone else's cup of coffee! To our not so great surprise, she had neither my name nor my husband's name written quite correctly .... in fact, she had written Britney on my cup, and then she had drawn a cute ghost on my husband's cup instead of Kasper .... we both think the waitress was thinking of the American cartoon "Casper the friendly ghost" :) Anyway, welcome to The Friendly (G)host :)
