Jessie, magical dog-friendly Sussex shepherds hut
Follow the meandering path to this gorgeous little hut in East Sussex, nestled between the crab apple and cherry trees. This beautiful stretch of countryside is a tranquil oasis of flourishing farmland and pockets of hidden wilderness, making this luxurious little snuggery the perfect place for a romantic escape under stars. The proficiently organised space contains a comfy double bed, which neatly folds away, en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a solid oak table and chairs for cosy dinners inside. Jessie is remarkably spacious for her size and creates a gorgeous setting for a dreamy countryside retreat. The log burner will keep you lovely and toasty in the colder eves (free starter pack of logs provided), while the fully functional kitchen will satisfy all your cooking needs. What's more, the charming natural setting is perfect for sitting out amongst the birds and the bees with a few sausages sizzling away on the barbie. However, if you don't feel like cooking the delightful village inn, The Queens Head serves great food and is only a short walk from the site. The glorious setting is a calm and relaxing haven away from the commotion of urban activity and provides the ideal tonic for those looking to get away from it all. However, you won't need to give up your creature comforts here, with plenty of luxury touches to keep you feeling like a king or a queen. Guests will have access exclusively to the shepherd's hut, as well as the BBQ, outdoor seating and plenty of lush countryside to call your own. Bookings and initial communication will be handled by Quality Unearthed, and the owners will be available during your stay if you should need anything. Located in flourishing countryside, the site is near the small East Sussex village of Sedlescombe in the heart of 1066 country. Take a stroll into the village to The Queens Head, a charming old English inn, serving great food and real ales. Only a short drive from the historic town of Hastings, indulge in the dramatic landscape in where the iconic battle of 1066 was fought. There are a variety of things to do on your doorstep from wine tours at the local vineyard to delightful day trip to the seaside day. The nearest train station is Battle. There are good road and public transport links from here, as well as private hire and taxi firms that you can pre-book. Up to 2 dogs are welcome to stay - there is an additional charge of £10 per dog per stay, which will need to be paid separately to the rental of the hut when booking. Please let us know if you wish to bring any dogs.
