living romantically in the old town
you have a quiet and romantic place to stay for 4- 9 persons, in an old timbered guesthouse on 2 upper floors with 3 rooms and 1 fully equipped kitchen, with a bathroom, wasching machine, (URL HIDDEN) and Internet. In the groundfloor, I offer you a additional appartment for 2-4 persons it is an old winepub, new renovated, with a fully equipped kitchen, a doublebed , new bathroom and with my pictures on the walls. You will adore the old city of Linz with its winehouses. I offer you a old guesthouse in the old town of Linz am Rhein, a beautiful little city along the Rhine river. You can stay in an appartment on two floors, with in total 2 and a half bedrooms, 2 doublebeds and one single bed plus a sleeping sofa in the living room, one lovely livingroom and a kitchen with dishwasher and a washing machine in the bathroom. In the groundfloor yopu can stay in a new renovated guestroom with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, with a doublebed and siutable for 2-3 persons (one sleepingcouch). It is a quiet place to relax and to make many visits in the nice towns nearby Linz. In the house, there are hanging my paintings and fotografic work, so you have allaround a nice sourounding. Nearby the guesthouse you have a lot of nice restaurants (spanish, japonese, italien and german , you can walk around in the old town of Linz with beautiful wooden houses (Fachwerkhaus) and the original marketplace. To go to Bonn , or to Cologne, it takes you 30 Minutes by train or the same time by car. There you can visit the museums of fine Art, the Cathedral in Cologne or the Haus of German History in Bonn. If you want to reach the universities or the center of the surounding cities, it takes you only 15 to 20 minutes by car to get there. There is a parking lot nearby, where you can stay safely over the night. You can also go by bike through the valley of the Ahr ( it is a very famous wine region with many winetasting areas ) or along thr rhine river. Nearby (about 5 km) you can visit the Arp Museum in Rolandseck, the Siebengebirge with the Drachenfels, Bad Honnef and Königswinter, both very nice settlements with many attractions ( seaworld in Königswinter ). So if you want to stay one weekend or longer, you will be always be welcome to spend a nice time in my guesthouse " Gasthaus zum Neutor " in the old city of Linz. You can stay in the whole house, if you are a bigger group ( up to 10 persons) It is a no smoking house, so please respect this for the other guests. If you have problems with electrical maschines or the heating please call the owner, so he can repair or replace them. When you leave the house to return , please trow your key through the letterbox. Telefonisch über das Handy oder das Festnetz. Call me by handy, if you have any problems , I'll try to resolve them. There is Internet, you can use my WIFI, Check - in Time is from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. If you come too late or later than 7 p.m., a fee of 30.- Euros is to pay since I have to wait for you . in the neighborhood, there are lots of nice pubs and restaurants, where you can live the "rhinestyle living" drinking Kölsch or wine- in the summer the old town is an open air museum with his old timbered houses and the numerous nice places to sit and relax If you come by plane , you can rent a car in the Airport and come down the A 59 in direction of Troisdorf and Bad Honnef, you follow the way along the beautiful Rhine until you reach Linz ( 15 Minutes). At he first red light, you go left under the brigde of the railway and follow the big road (Asbacher Straße) until you reach the medivial tower of the ancient wall of Linz (Neutor). There you park your car and go into the Neustraße about 50m , until you reach the Nr. 27 (Gasthof zum Neutor). You ring the upper bell. If you come by train from the Airport, you take the Train Number RE 8 to Koblenz from the Airport Trainstation,you take about 8 Station until you reach Linz Bahnhof, from there you walk through the old town until you reach the market place. From there it takes you 5 Minutes to go to the Neustraße 27. If need a good breakfast, there are two very nice bakeries nearby, where you can have a typical german breakfast for a fair price. Or you buy the german "Brötchen" and croissants and make your breakfast in the appartment. The check-in time is from 2 pm until 6 pm. If you come later in the evening, you would have to pay 30.- Euro for the additional amount of duty .
