Anchor Cottage sleeps 6 in the heart of orford

A charming newly renovated, spacious, well equipped cottage (sleeps 6) has two first floor bedrooms, both with en suite toilets, a ground floor single bedroom and a generous well established garden, with off road parking in arguably one of the quietest and prettiest high streets in the land! This beautiful traditional cottage is within easy walking distance from Orford's magnificent pubs and shops and the bustling quay from which one can take a boat either to Orford Ness or along the river. Anchor cottage was built in the 18th Century and still has the original beams, windows and doors while the recent renovation has made it a comfortable and practical living space. The large garden is very beautiful with access at the top onto the pathway that leads to the church yard and into the centre of the village. Guests can access all of the cottage and garden except for the garden shed, which is private to the gardener and a linen cupboard in the larger upstairs bedroom which is the owners private storage space. There is a welcome book with information about the equipment, safety and general information and has telephone numbers in case of emergency. Orford is a beautiful village with a variety of amenities. These are all listed in the welcome book. There is parking for one car in the driveway and also on the street in front of the gate. There is public parking in the market square and near to the Quay. Dogs and other pets are not allowed either in the property or in the garden.
