Beautiful Cottage located in Rural Suffolk, a short stroll down a bridle path to Yoxford Village, known as garden of Suffolk, the perfect getaway. The house, located near Snape & Saxmundham, and a short drive from the beaches of Southwold and Aldeburgh, a fully modernized cottage, cosy and charming. Yoxford is a wonderful village, the garden of Suffolk, the cottage is surrounded by fields and short walk will take you to the village Restaurant (Maine’s), village store, coffee shop and pubs. This Delightful two bedroom cottage, mid terrace in Victorian row is very stylishly and well designed with a selection of comfortable seating and dining areas. The space is beautifully furnished with a selection of British and swedish fabric, and cosy seating areas by the fire and in the Kitchen. The openness of the cottage is its beauty, elevated on a hill and flooded with light in the mornings and the sun rises over the garden, which is always breathtaking with incredible Suffolk skies, In the evening, you can sit at the front of the cottage and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. Open fields to front and rear on cottage, and a short 10 minute walk to the village of Yoxford. Inside the cottage Upstairs there is 1 bathroom, two double bedrooms (1 kingsize, 1 Queen). Down stairs the main living space combines kitchen, dining (seats 6/8 people) and relaxing seating area by the folding doors so you will spend a lot of time here. To the from is the cosy living room with a wood burner (Logs are provided for your stay). The cottage is a restful, peaceful place and the neighbours are all artists and writers, so take your pens or sketchbook and enjoy the atmosphere. Pretty position, the cottage is elevated on a hill. As noted the ground floor living room with log fire, open plan kitchen with dining table for 6, relaxing area with sofa and rocking chair and double glass doors leading to the patio and garden. Upstairs is a bathroom/ shower, worth two double bedrooms, one to rear and one to fore of the property with views across the fields. Always available by telephone or email The walks, food and cost is what takes everyone to Suffolk plus some wonderful festivals and cultural highlights each season. For food lovers, Yoxford is excellent. Main's in Yoxford: lovely little restaurant run by a family – Nancy and Jason. They are open on Friday and Saturday nights only, PLUS, Saturday brunch until 12noon. Lovely to pop in for a coffee on Saturday, and you can walk there across the fields, and get the papers at the village shop. They also sell fresh bread on Saturday mornings – we love the treacle/rye loaf, so you can pick that up there – but get there early because the bread sells quickly. It's just past the church a bit on the same side of the street, as you're heading towards the A12. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Darsham Nursery Café: About 1 miles away, or a 25 minute walk is, just north on the A12 on the right and just past the Darsham railway station. Great award wining café with interesting food and a Sunday brunch (Website hidden by Airbnb) It is much heralded in the press as one of the UK’s best small cafes, etc. David who owns it is really nice and also useful for gardening tips. Yoxford also has a delightful coffee shop, corner store and a few antique shops. The church is rather beautiful and there is also bowls, cricket and tennis clubs. We will provide a guide for things to do during your stay, but rest assured there is so much to do. Villages of note include Snape, Saxmundham (good for Waitrose / Tesco) Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, Peasenhall, Framlingham and Halesworth are all charming. The beaches are all remarkable. Minsmere where the BBC 'Springwatch' is filmed is nearby, so a great haven for bird lovers. Much to do, so pack your walking boots/ wells or surf boards and enjoy the coast. Car required if you want to see the wider area. One mile from village of Peasenhall and villages of Saxmundham, aldeburgh, Framingham, Snape Maltings and southwold all close by. Walking distance to the village.
