This lovely Georgian house is situated in an elevated position offering most beautiful Cotswolds views across the valley. Recently refurbished self contained open plan Annex is full of character while offering all modern facilities. A secluded, tranquil base to explore Cotswolds countryside. Kitchen, living room, two bedrooms with two bathrooms perfect for a family or a small group (4guests plus 2 children). A beautifully refurbished self contained open plan accommodation arranged over two floors. Includes large living space on upper floor with lounge, dining and kitchen areas. Balcony deck offers private outdoor space with panoramic views over the valley. Ground floor has an open plan bedroom with sitting area, bathroom, and dressing area. A door leads to a second bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Large landscaped gardens wrap around the property to enhance the countryside experience. Separate entrance with private outdoor space and lovely views over the valley. Kitchen is equipped with basic amenities and kitchen appliances for light occasional cooking. Hi speed broadband, TV in living room and bedroom. The Annex has independent central heating with smart thermostat for guests' convenience. A perfect countryside retreat where you can wind down, watch the sunset, enjoy far reaching views, explore country walks without leaving the local area. The check-in and check-out requires no interaction with the hosts. Independent entrance allows guests to conveniently manage the stay on their own. We have a couple of bikes which maybe available for hire. Please send a message to book in advance. Guests have access to the annexe through an independent entrance door. Guests also have access to a private balcony and garden. Plenty of secure parking is available in secure gated area. Self check-in with lockbox We are in the West Oxfordshire Cotswolds area in the Evenlode valley at the edge of Wychwood Forest. There are number of small towns and villages within 6 miles radius including Burford (6 miles), Chipping Norton (5 miles), Charlbury (2.5 miles), Chadlington (2 miles) with some nice traditional pubs. Country walks could be planned either through Wychwood Forest or Evenlode Valley cutting across Cotswolds villages & countryside with stopovers at any of the pubs along the way. Some of the recommended walking trails are • Charlbury/Train Station (3 miles) • Finstock and the Evenlode (5 miles) • Historic village of Burford (6 miles) • Medieval Shorthampton (5 miles) • The Forest of Wychwood (9 miles) There are many places of interest in the area depending on your interest and how far you want to venture out. Wychwood Forest, Cornbury Park, Burford are within 6 miles while beautiful town of Woodstock with Blenheim Palace is 10 miles and historic Oxford city is 20 miles. If you don’t want to drive into Oxford, the train from Charlbury takes you into Oxford in 15 minutes. Beautiful quaint villages including Bourton on Water & Bibury are also within short driving distance. It is a country location so expect to drive to any nearby locations. In short from country walks, quaint villages, traditional pubs, organic farms, historic market towns to medieval castles, you’ll find everything with your reach. - There are regular trains available from Charlbury station (2.5 miles) to Oxford (15 min) and London Paddington (75 min) - Chipping Norton 5 miles • Burford 7 miles • Woodstock / Blenheim Palace 10 miles • Oxford 20 miles • M40 (J8) 28 miles - Golf at Lyneham, Naunton Downs and Chipping Norton - Nearest village is Charlbury (2.5 miles) with grocery store (CO-OP) which is open every day from 7am-10pm. There is also a Pharmacy, NHS GP, ATM, Dentist, Pot Office and some traditional pubs & café’s - This is an excluded country location and a car is needed to commute - The train station at less than 3 miles offers services to Oxford (15min) London Paddington (75min) - Entrance is through upper floor, the accommodation may not be suitable if the guests have difficulty climbing stairs - Free parking available for 1-3 cars - The place is perfect for 4 guests (Adult or Children), we are also able to accommodate 2 addirional children under 12 as the sofa in the bedroom converts into a comfortable double bed.
