Zinkwazi Beach House

A WONDERFUL FAMILY VACATION HOME This award winning beach front home and is built in indigenous milkwood forest overlooking the pristine beach. There are uninterrupted views from all 3 floors, of the Indian ocean and beach on one side of the house and below and inland the lush coastal dune forest. The house is built amongst the trees. A short walk through the forest leads onto a unspoiled beach in front of the house Can you imagine how magnficent it is to live amoungs the forest on one side and the ocean on the other. Well this house appears to be suspended in the Milkwoods and to reach it one walks on a wooden boardwalk from the street with forest below into the glass and steel structure Guests have access to the entire three floors of the house. The ground floor comprises the open plan living area and kitchen, with a wide deck the length of the house overlooking the sea with glass folding doors across the entire length. On the upper floor is a spacious landing /lounge with glass doors leading onto a wide deck over the sea, a sheltered enclosed back deck is suspended on the inland side of the house overlooking the forest. Off the lounge are two en-suite bedrooms with a front deck off the top floor overlooking the sea. From the centre floor, there is a staircase down to the lower level where a spacious playroom leads to the two ensuite bedrooms on either side. These two bedrooms also have a deck the full length of the house overlooking the sea through folding doors. Another staircase leads down to the beach. I am available at all times to interact with guests. I am aware that guests are like to spend a major part of their day on the beach, so I normally ask when and if they like me to call. I am fortunate to have a full time housekeeper who is able to interact with guests and respond to their requests. I am no more than a few minutes away Zinkwazi is a small holiday destination so many of the properties are owned by absent land lords who come for holidays. There is a relaxed happy atmosphere in an environment that is essentially rural with a keen sense of protection of the fauna and flora. Blue duiker and mongoose are often seen in the vacant properties when one walks through the village. Bird watching, cycling and walking is a popular pastime. The primary reason folk visit the village is for its magnificent beach where the Zinkwazi river lagoon is adjacent to the main swimming beach. Activities on the river can be enjoyed a few meters from safe swimming at the main beach. At low tide a shelf of rock with glistening rock pools exposes a variety of fascinating small fish and crustaceans. Uber does not come to Zinkwazi as we are 30km away from Ballito so we suggest you hire a vehice before visiting us. Public transport in Kzn is not reliable. Please be aware that the charm of Zinkwazi beach is its remote location and peaceful atmosphere. We do not have any shopping of the conventional type. A small convenience shop is situated on the corner of Glen and Nkwazi drive and offers essentials for your stay. A tea garden serving delicious breakfast and budge lunches is on the same premise as the Zinkwazi Cafe. You will find the staff friendly and helpful
