Completely refurbished peaceful rural cottage
Nestled in a tranquil, unspoilt valley with a wonderful countryside view, this completely refurbished luxury cottage forms part of a Victorian Oast house. The cottage has its own parking area, private entrance and secluded garden with seating. Inside there's space for four people. King size beds or two singles are available in both bedrooms. Travel cot, booster seat and Stokke high chair in situ. Upstairs there's a compact but luxurious shower room, downstairs larger bathroom for long soaks. The cottage is attached to our residence and situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, protected for its wonderful landscape. There are lovely views out of the windows. As part of an Oast House with two round towers and built in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , visitors are experiencing a little bit of history. There are many lovely bridleways and footpaths to explore directly from the farm, though please stick to the areas designated for the cottage within the farm - as it is a working farm there is machinery in the barns. To the north, the Black Robin pub, serving delicious food, is just over a mile's walk away. To the east, up over a field and down quiet lanes, Barham has a thriving community shop with local food including ice cream made from Jersey dairy herd around 10 miles away. Despite being very rural, the fascinating medieval city of Canterbury is a short bus, cycle or drive away. The coast is readily accessible with Sunny Sands in Folkestone about twenty minutes by car. Enjoy gourmet food while you are there at Rock Salt, a famous restaurant. Dover Castle is a great day out, while the Pig, a newly opened boutique hotel, is in the next village up in Bridge, with fine dining on offer. And London is just an hour's train ride away from Canterbury. There's a bus stop by the Black Robin, just over a mile's walk down our peaceful track, that will take you into north to Canterbury or south to Folkestone on the 17 bus route. High speed trains go to London from Canterbury West to St Pancras International in 56 minutes, or from Canterbury East into London Victoria, London Bridge and Waterloo. You can park at all of the stations for a fee. Due to the new Airbnb COVID protocol, our time between guests is restricted and more complex. We would be so grateful for the following co-operation from our guests:- Please check out promptly at 10am and assume that arriving before 4pm can't be done this year - I'm sorry! Before you check out, please open the bedroom windows, remove the top sheets and pillow cases of all used bedding and place in a shopping bag (under stairs) or in a tidy pile by the washing machine downstairs. Please do the same with used towels. We will be refreshing all linens in the cottage, but this controls our contact with recently used items. Thank you so much!
