Charming B&B suite at "Le Manoir de La Pataudiere"

In the heart of Normandy, close to the medieval city of Falaise, the Manoir de La Pataudière, typical mansion from the XVII and XVIII century, is located in a charming place of Calvados countryside, at the crossroad of various areas. Erected in a pastoral setting, the Manor is a home from home which offers a authentic, comfortable and relaxing stay. Wherever you are coming from, welcome in our haven of peace, full of charm and character! We aim at turning a simple holiday into a special stay! The Suite « Dumont d’Urville », spacious B&B duplex of 70m², with exposed beams and stones, beautiful volumes, is imbued with the powerful Norman character. Its separate access from the guest house allows you to live in total autonomy. Above the former apple store of the manor, this suite which offers a courtyard and garden view, is perfectly fitted for a couple or a family with 1 or 2 toddlers. The magnificent living room whose masterpiece is a (decorative) fireplace of pure Louis XIV style is on the 1st floor. The night space is on the second floor. There is a large double bedroom with a bathroom (plus the possibility to get access to one or two small connecting bedrooms for 1 or 2 children). Breakfast will be served every morning in the privacy of your suite... There is a large garden dedicated to our guests where you can relax and unwind… You can enjoy a fresh drink or a tea with a good book or admire the sunset with a glass of wine or a local drink upon request… Weather permiting, you could be served a romantic dinner à deux… Coming to le Manoir de La Pataudière means getting the possibility to meet your hosts without having to. This is without any doubt our credo. You will stay in a suite whose entrance is separate from the host house. This will let you be totally independent during your holiday, whether it is a long stay or a short break. We are here to answer to your requirements and try to meet your needs. All within a reach, you can: -discover the tourist attractions of our Region: historical sites and artistic and cultural places (William the conqueror castle at Falaise, D-day landing beaches, WWII sites and museums, Bayeux tapestry, Haras du Pin national stud “The Versailles for horses”, Alençon Lace museum, Carrouges Castle…) -enjoy many leisure facilities (aquatic center, canoeing places, horse-riding places, bike paths, vast sandy beaches...) - follow the historic Norman abbey route that leads to the word famous site of Mont Saint Michel. An array of various and surprising activities... much to the delight of young and not so young alike… Free and secured parking space. Transport service (train station, airport, ferry… tailor made excursions…) upon request. You wish to get a gourmet meal service in your accommodation? At an agreed time, dinner arrives at your door. You just have to sit down and enjoy it in intimacy. Several menus are proposed and a special "mini guests" menu too.
