Casa Spiridon, Bughea de Jos, Arges

The house is located 4 km from Campulung Muscel. It's a small, nice and clean traditional house made from brick and wood, located when just entering Bughea de Jos Village. It has a big garden, full of fruit trees, great to relax or to enjoy the nature. The house was build by my grandfather, Sima Spiridon, a talented carpenter and very respected at that time in Campulung Area. He left a treasure behind to his children. His wood workshop, his tools that he used many years ago to give a shape to wood still exists. The garden around 2500 m2 is full of apple, peers, plum, nuts trees, perfect for kids to play and for parents to escape the crowded and noisy cities. You’ll notice a local traditional style in the rooms, with wood panels and terracotta stove. A grill and a stone oven is available for bread, pizza and sponge cake. the Grill - it is big enough for 4-6 people. it has 3 levels to set top grill from fire, depends how strong is the coal (fire). If you think to make a grill please don't forget to buy the coal and some wood from a gas station. Grill tools are available as well. The Kitchen is fully equipped with most of the thinks that you need for your stay: pan, plates, tableware, lots of pots, salads bowls, tea cups, coffee cups, water glasses, wine glassed, you name it. You will feel like home. A coffee filter is available. There is a fridge, cooker that works with a gas tank, it's not new but it's working fine. The food, coffee, spices, you must provide it by your self. In the neighborhood guide on the Airbnb house webpage you will find some recommended restaurants and markets. The hot water in the kitchen and bathroom is assured. We provide towels, bed sheets, toilet paper, liquid soap and shampoo. On the first floor there is a dormitory with a bed 140x200cm. The mattress is new and a few blankets are available in case you are cold. The second dormitory on the ground floor there is an bed 140x200cm with a new mattress and 2 armchairs. In the mansard there are 2 beds each for one person. Wifi is available and is working fine. Boardgames: Chess, Backgammon (Table) Good To Know: WC toilet paper - please use the paper-basket near by, DO NOT through it into the WC. There is a BIO drain pit for the entire House, the paper might affect it. If you rent the house more then 1 week, the drain pit might get full and a worker might come and empty it. This will not affect you in anyway, just you need to know someone will be present on the property outside in the garden. Pets: Because of the bad experience we do not accept guest with pets anymore. Be ware that this is a country side district, issue with electricity or current water can appear from the main line, there are not often but still can happen. For emergency you can use the water-spring from the garden. see the pictures. The house is located to the main road, very easy to find, private parking is available. Activities that our guests can practice on area are: hiking, mountain biking, trail running, skiing touring, equitation, observation of the nature and fauna, photo tours, climbing, caving. We procure agro-food products from own and from the area. (fresh bio eggs, cheese, fresh bio milch, deserts). Mrs. Sevastita is a great cook and she’s using natural products to prepare the deserts. We are happy to bake for our guests but please ask us in advance about the menu and prices. The location is great for accessing the hiking trails ahead to Iezer-Papusa and Piatra Craiului Mountains. Râușor Lake: Passing Leresti village, is located the Râușor Lake - 17.8 km. The lake is recommended for kayak or SUP (stand up paddling board), or just enjoy the view. There are many hiking trails to reach Iezer pick 2135m, just ask us for some recommendation, and will be happy to help. Few meters under the pick you can cool you feet into the glacier Lake Iezer. Mountainbike: The surroundings are spectacular, ideal choice for mountain cycling and mountain biking, offering many alternative routes with varying degrees of difficulty, easier routes for families and less experienced or less trained people, and more difficult ones dedicated to experienced people who are looking for powerful sensations. I will be happy to give you more informations. The Mucelul-Mountinbike Championship called "Trofeul Muscelului" takes place every year in July. Have a look at video: (Website hidden by Airbnb) Ciocanu Church is located to 4.3 Km, biking or even waking there is there is great. 500m away of the Ciocanu Curch is the "Hawk Gap" (Rapa Soimului) and "Girl Gap" (Rapa Fetii). The Legend says that a girl lost her life there. 18km - Rausor Lake 60 Km - Bran Castle (Dracula Castle) 89 KM - Brasov City 96 Km Vidraru Lake - Transfagarasan 191 Km - Sibiu Airport 190 Km - Bucharest Airport The house is located quite close to the main road of the village of Bughea de Jos. We are struggling with the local authorities to limit the speed of the cars to 30km/h. This is just a small notice that sometimes can be noisy.
