Two bedrooms in Georgian town house

We are a few minute's walk from the station and heart of Lewes. We offer a peaceful double room, and single room, with private use of an adjoining compact shower room. IMPORTANT: The main (double)room is let at the double rate (£80) on Friday and Saturday nights so please enter one guest only on those nights in the booking menu to avoid overpayment. Only enter 2 guests if you need separate rooms. The single bedroom is only available for a third guest if they are travelling in the same group. We hope the photo does it justice - the double is a lovely light room, with views over the old churchyard to the trees beyond. The rooms are on the top floor (28 stairs from the ground floor ) with your own shower room on the same floor. Please note that the shower room has been described by one guest as being challenging for those of a portly disposition! We mention this in case you find climbing stairs difficult, or have heavy luggage. The single room is at the rear and is south facing. We are happy to share information about the area with our guests. Lewes is a compact town with plenty of restaurants and pubs. We are now in a national park and there are some easy walks over the downs if you fancy some exercise. The house is within walking distance of all the interesting parts of Lewes. We are two minutes from the station; turn right on leaving the station, then right again, you will then be in Lansdown place, which then leads into Friars' Walk, (it's the same road). Parking in the town centre can be tricky, but if you drive to the end of Lansdown Place to the junction (Lansdown pub on the corner), take a sharp left into Pinwell Road towards the station car park and bear left. Just past Depot cinema you come to Pinwell Road council car park which is free from 5 pm to 8.30am. There is a path at the top of the car park that takes you back to our house; you will have done a circle, but it saves driving around town trapped in the one way system! There is another cheap car park on the far side of the station in Mountfield Road.
