Delightful, modernised cottage in the historic village of Ockbrook, Derbyshire. An ideal stay for couples or individuals wanting relaxing and comfortable accommodation while having great access to the A52, M1 and M42. The cottage occupies what was a coach house for the main residence. A short walk through the garden and you are in open fields or pop into the village and enjoy one of the four pubs. There is off road parking and the use of the main garden including free fruit in summer months. The Coach House is a self contained unit with kitchen, lounge/dining area, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Suitable for one person or a couple, it provides a modern, comfortable environment to relax and enjoy your stay. There is even a super comfortable massage chair to help restore you after your travels or a long day or adventure. Besides the Coach House itself, you shall have access to the main garden (with a bountiful supply of complimentary eating and cooking apples and pears in summer months), safe off road parking which is monitored by CCTV and down the bottom of the garden you are in open fields which lead to a public footpath for you to enjoy strolls in the countryside. Ockbrook is an attractive, quiet village, the old part of Ockbrook was established by the Anglo Saxons, around the 6th century, and a new part, the Moravian Settlement was founded in 1750, It is one of only three in the country. There has also been evidence of human activity in Ockbrook since 10,000BC. The village has 4 pubs, with the oldest established in the 1600s and a Church dating back to the 1200s. The neighbouring village of Borrowash has a Co-op supermarket, takeaways, traditional butchers, fishmonger, florist, hairdressers, post office and newsagent. The bedroom and lounge windows are fitted with a UV protective privacy coating, so in sunlight hours you can see out and nobody can see in. Please do however note that when dark the effect of the coating is reversed, so please remember to close the blinds.
