A cozy newly renovated house from 1888 in midtown

Welcome to Vágsvegur 81! This cozy newly renovated house from 1888 is located in midtown in Vágur, a town of the southest island, Suðuroy, with a population of 1356 people. Vágur has sports halls next to football grounds, a new swimmingpool area and various shops. Tourist attractions include boattrips, hiking trips with beautiful nature and an art museum. The house has three floors whereas the 1st floor is newly renovated with a new kitchen with kitchen utensils, new bathroom with a shower, two bedrooms where one has a double bed with a closet and the second bedroom has 2 bunkbeds. The basement has an entry from the outside and has a washing machine. 3rd floor is under construction but will not be worked on while guests are living here. The house is located in midtown right below a gasstation with various foods, both warm and cold and freshly baked bread and buns. Our guests have entrance to the 1st floor while the basement and 2nd floor are not renovated yet. We have a large green are outside free for your use. We, the hosts, live in Thorshavn, Streymoy which is located 2 hours away with the ferry boat. We are always availabe by phone and have several family members in Vágur that are available to help our guests. The Faroe Islands have 18 volcanic islands seperated by narrow sounds and fjords arranged roughly in the form of an arrowhead. All but one are inhabited. Suðuroy is two hours away from the capital, Thorshavn, with a ferryboat. As a tourist you can expect dramatic views and hiking trails with locals. All of the towns and villages are connected of modern roads which offer a variety of fascinating landscape.
