Peaceful setting in small harbor town with park and jetty. Perfect point for exploring the scenic Northeast of Island Falster. Many attractions in reach by just 20-40 Minutes driving distance. During summer old wooden ferry connects to neighboring islands. Good opportunities for sport fishing. A place for relaxation from daily stress. The house has been completely and lovingly renovated. It has been home for the family for more than 50 years. Here the family of second and third generation are celebrating family events and spending holiday time. The large roof terrace provides great views to the Islands of Bogø and Møn. Also Farø and Zealand are catching our eyes. The ground floor has a living room, a bed room with access to garden terrace, dining room, kitchen and bath room. Upstairs the timber construction was exposed. There are 2 bed rooms, a bath room and a large living room with Futon and TV, view of the bay and access to the roof terrace. The setting upstairs has a slight whiff of the East-african island of Lamu. The 8 beddings are supplied with duvets and pillowcases. Guest will need to bring bed linen and handkerchiefs along. It is no big deal to organise additional bedding for children. The annex has a loft bed for 2 persons. Also spare mattresses are available. The secluded garden with flowers, lawn, fireplace and 2 terraces offers a private atmosphere. The annex has a multi purpose room, with loft-bed, desk, washing machine, gym-rib. The annex also has a scullery, a tool shed, a garage and a workshop. Guests can of course use all of the house. As the house also is used by ourselves, however never when there are guests, some cupboards are locked of while some drawer are kept for our private things. The bed rooms offer sufficient space for the clothing of the guests. Our bikes can freely be used.Some files with brochures provide inspiration for visiting attractions n the island Falster and neighboring islands - be it on foot, bike or car. Guests are most welcome to call us for advice or in emergencies. Excellent beaches on the coast of the Baltic Sea, some 6 and 12 km away. Stubbekøbing itself has a small beach fit for children and a jetty used by tourists and locals a like. The North-Eastern corner of Falster has plenty of forest, beaches and cliffs. Thus there are a host of possibilities for walks and biking trips, some on marked paths. The town and the ferry to Bogø are part of the biking route Berlin-Copenhagen. The Ferry operates mainly during the months of May to September. Stubbekøbing is a more than 800 year old town with a large church in roman style originating back to 12th century. Up to 17th Century Stubbekøbing was the largest town on the Southern Islands of Denmark and home of the war fleet protecting the Kingdom against raids from the Venders across the Baltic Sea. During the period of the Vikings a ship yard for the construction of viking ships was operating close to the town. On the islands of Falster and Møn also are home to numerous 4-5000 year old grave from the stone age. To day the town has a large yacht harbor. There are 2 museums. Several super markets allow for easy daily shopping. Also a few restaurants are available in town and in the area.
