There is a great pub in the village and some more fine dining options in the nearby villages. About a mile up the road is an amazing food and garden centre that sells local produce, has an amazing meat and cheese counter and even sell "Cook" meals if you can't be bothered to cook. There is a very good Indian restaurant 2 miles away that does a takeaway service and the Pizza companies in Andover deliver. If you are a foodie there are lots of artisan food shops in Stockbridge and about 5 miles away is the village of Leckford (the Waitrose Village) which is where a lot of the Waitrose produce is grown - they also have a great cafe and deli / shop. Just outside of Amport is the Hawk Conservancy which is a great day out and does 3 daily flying displays which are very impressive plus it has lots of other attractions. In addition to Stonehenge we have 3 or 4 medieval hill forts including Old Sarum (just outside of Salisbury) which are pretty spectacular. There are loads of great things to do and some excellent walking so just let me know what you like and I can provide you with a list. Our nearest station is Grately - Mainline to Waterloo and Exeter. Journey time to London is 1hr 20 mins. There are a couple of buses every day going into Andover and Salisbury. We have a large garden with a football goal, a cricket catching net, a trampoline, a slash pool in the summer, a hammock, a couple of kids hockey sticks and ball. There is an outside sofa seating are with cushions, a fire pit right at the bottom of the garden (for your evening aperitif) and a gas barbecue .
