The Stables at Hill Farm is 1.5 miles from the attractive village of Darsham and offers comfortable ground floor accommodation for up to 4 guests. Being located 300 yards from the A12, all other popular villages, towns and attractions in this part of Suffolk are easily accessible. It is also within easy reach of footpaths, forests and heaths, with open views over fields. The nearest beach is only a 4 mile drive away. The Stables would be well-suited to families, walkers, cyclists and those looking for a romantic break. There is a lockable bicycle storage shed at the rear of the property. There is also a travel cot and highchair(s) available for smaller guests. The nearest shop is 0.5 miles away (Budgens at Darsham Services). The nearest Pub is 1 mile away called "The Fox", which is a good old English family pub and old English pub ales are available too. The stables has an enclosed space at the back of the property perfect for BBQs and relaxing in the warmer months. There is also a pleasant walk from The Stables around a 3 acre young woodland which guests are very welcome to explore. We aim to meet and greet all guests on arrival to run through a few things about the property and check that you are happy with everything. As we live in the house near to the Stables we are very happy to sort out any problems or questions that you might have during your stay. The village of Darsham is situated along the A12. The local garage has a cafe with wi-fi as well as a shop. The Two Magpies Bakery is less than a mile away and is famous for its pastries, cakes and bread. The nearby Darsham Fox is a lovely village pub and Darsham train station gives good transport links from London to Lowestoft. The popular villages of Westleton and Yoxford are close by, and the beautiful seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold are just a few miles away. Public transport is fairly limited from The Stables so a car is the best method of transport. There is a nice, nearby walk which takes about 1 hour there and back to the village of Darsham. Start from Hill Farm and turn left out of the Hill farm gate, walk about 100 yards and turn right up the farm track to Priory Farm & then into the village. (This is a “route with public access”) At the end of the road, turn right to get to the Fox Pub or turn left to get to the church and the centre of the village. Although the accommodation is on the ground floor, there is a small step between the kitchen and bedrooms. Please be aware that there is limited storage space in the twin bedroom.
