A newly refurbished, self contained annexe adjoining our family home in Lower Assendon. Lovely quiet location, just over a mile from central Henley - 5 min drive / 20 min walk. Perfect for visiting events in Henley & exploring the Chilterns. Large ensuite double bedroom, lounge diner, kitchen. Access to outdoor pool. Set in 4.5 acres, enjoy magnificent views & sunsets over the Assendon Valley and grazing horses. Topped off by having an amazing Gastropub, The Golden Ball, on your doorstep. Our annexe is located on the ground floor and there's parking available directly outside. Everyone who stays tells us it's a relaxing place to be so we have to take their word for it! The annexe has its own dedicated fibre broadband connection and a desk which is ideal for work. The lounge has a double sofa-bed which turns into a king size bed. We also have a travel cot and a high chair available. The kitchen has cutlery & crockery, oven, hob, toaster, kettle, microwave & fridge freezer. There is also a washer dryer. You are welcome to use the garden, but if you have a dog we kindly ask that you keep it on a lead as we have 3 cats and while the garden is very large, it's not completely enclosed. We have paddocks and ponies which you can visit by arrangement. We also have an outdoor pool in our garden - it's quite small and unheated but please ask if you would like to use it (at your own risk). We've lived in Henley for 20 years and are an active family so can give you advice on almost anything to do in and around the area, as well as help with horse riding, rowing, cycling, triathlon & open water swimming! We are usually around so happy to help. We can organise collection from the airport or Henley station if required. Lower Assendon is a small village nestled at the bottom of the Stonor valley in the Chiltern Hills, about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northwest of Henley-on-Thames. The location is superb for exploring the Chilterns as well as getting into Henley. The village has a Michelin recommended Gastropub, The Golden Ball. And of course, Henley has plenty of places to eat and drink. It's a 5 minute drive into Henley, and it's also very easy to organise taxis. It's about a 20 - 25 minute flat walk into town. Please let us know if you would like to borrow bikes. We have 2 cats that lives with us - Simba and Nala. They don't go in the annexe but you may see them around!
