The Stables (3 or 4 bed cottage), near Burford
A traditional rural stone cottage with feature beams and exposed Cotswold stone walls. It offers flexible accommodation- 3/4 bedrooms, 2 sofa beds, cot and 2 shower rooms, with one featuring a large walk-in shower. There is under floor heating, plus timber floors and a fully equipped kitchen/ diner. It's surrounded by open countryside. You are viewing the Stables Cottage- see below. Our cottages and suites form part of a collection of converted and historic farm buildings dating back to the 1790s and located in a Conservation Target Area, along the Shill Brook Valley. We have 2 cottages- the Stables is a 3 bed cottage with an optional en-suite 4th bedroom by opening up access to the Hayloft (see below) via the landing area, which can be locked off or interconnecting. The Granary is a 2 bed cottage. Both cottages have open plan kitchen/ lounge and dining areas. Bedding & towels are included & the kitchens are fully equipped. We also have a one bed suite. The king sized Hayloft Suite has a shower room and a kitchenette. There is an optional interconnecting reception space/ lounge with twin day beds to create a family room if required, at extra cost. The Hayloft has its own private entrance. There is a cot and high chair in each cottage and suite. All units have access to our games room (with fitness equipment, table tennis, darts and pool) and we have parking for 9 cars, but we can provide over-spill parking if needed. Both our cottages have their own separate front door leading directly to the outside. The Stables optional 4th bedroom/ the Hayloft Suite can be accessed from the Stables, but can also be made separate and accessed privately from the outside. There is a small shared, fenced garden at the entrances to the cottages, which is useful and safe for dogs or small children. There is a larger garden with open fencing and great views beyond. The parking area caters for around 9 cars. There is a games room with gym equipment, table tennis, darts and pool. We live next door to the cottages and so we are available to answer questions usually after 6pm or during weekends. We also provide telephone contact numbers. Although we live in the middle of open fields with horses, we are 5 minutes by car from shops, supermarkets and places to eat. We are close to Burford, Bampton and Bibury and 5 minutes from the fabulous Cotswold Wildlife Park. We are 10 minutes on foot from an S2 bus stop where buses travel to Witney and Oxford. Rates quoted relate to up to 2 guests. Sofa beds in the cottages add £25 per night. The extra reception space adds £20 per night to the Hayloft rate and use of the day beds therein is £15 per bed per night. Pet supplements are £30 per pet total for a stay in the Cottages and £10 per pet per night for the Suites (which usually involve shorter stays). Use of an additional cottage or suite will be extra. We can discuss your particular requirements in more detail. The minimum stay is 3 nights midweek and 2 nights at the weekend, although we are sometimes more flexible if we have a gap. Our normal changeover days are Monday & Friday.
