All the benefits of a hotel style stay, within a country cottage in a lovely village. The room is spacious yet cosy, with double aspect views to the gardens. A perfect base to explore the local area, visit family or stay for work. Enjoy your own private garden space, to make the most of your stay, aswell as the instant access to the canal adjacent to the cottage. Fully sanitised, with a key safe for self check-in/out - socially distanced. The accommodation listed is a ground floor extension to our bustling family cottage. It's seperated off behind a locked door and has private access, making it a space entirely dedicated to our guests. What we offer: - A private guestroom that you can self check in/out of, at your own convenience. - Private patio door entrance to a king sized bedroom. - Just outside the bedroom there is a separate private shower room, with a shower, toilet and sink (no bath) . - There is a kettle for tea/coffee making, and a breakfast basket to welcome you on the first day of your stay. - There is a NO kitchenette area or microwave/fridge to make/store your own food. - We have recommended cafes and restaurants/take aways in the area, in our Guidebook (see our profile page) for lots of food options. You are welcome to picnic and relax outside in the areas below: - Garden area alongside the canal - Private garden and patio areas wrapping around the guestroom, including outdoor dining furniture - You have the option to bring and use a disposal BBQ outdoors, but pls bring your own plates, cutlery and equipment. - There is no access to a kitchen on the premises. - Please request to use the ping pong table in advance. This can only be used outdoors, in dry weather conditions. You may park on the gravelled drive without blocking the garages. Please Airbnb message anytime if you have any questions. Centred around the character high street are coffee shops, traditional pubs, gift shops, a post office, newsagents, local store, library and a stunning Tudor church. The Trent and Mersey Canal runs alongside the garden and drive and A38 runs parallel to the canal. The canalside walk can be accessed from the road, by walking over the bridge and down the steep slope on the righthand side. The village is ideally placed for travel on the A38 and A50, rail stations in Lichfield provide direct links to Birmingham and London and the International airports of Birmingham and East Midlands are both within an easy drive. We provide a welcome breakfast hamper on arrival, for the first morning at the cottage. This consists of fruit and breakfast snacks such as instant porridge, cereal bars, pain au chocolate etc. Tea and coffee supplies are available throughout your stay. Our guidebook has lots of suggestions for cooked breakfasts. Please note that this property is at the edge of the village and therefore WiFi connectivity can be low at times. We have provided a TV but you may have to hot spot your phone data to watch it at times/or for your laptop. We trust that you understand that this is something that is out of our control.
