Appletree Cottages offers tranquil bed and breakfast and/or self-catered accommodation to a high standard. Our charming property is found in Barton Mills, a delightful location to unwind and is excellently located, equidistant to Newmarket, Bury St. Edmunds, Thetford and Ely. With our comfortable accommodations and convenient position, we are a suitable base for exploring this part of Suffolk. Our delightful double bedroom in Appletree Cottages has its own en suite bathroom, and a shared kitchen, dining and patio space. Please note that this bedroom has a low ceiling. There is plenty of parking on the road immediately outside of the cottage. Complimentary WiFi is provided. Breakfast can be provided at an additional cost: - Our Continental Basket includes fresh rolls and pastries, meats and cheeses, fruit juices, preserves and butter. - Our Traditional Basket includes fresh bread, fruit juices, locally sourced eggs, bacon and sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms. The cost of breakfast is £6 per person. The cottage can be booked either per room or in its entirety depending on availability. Please note that guests with single room bookings make use of a shared kitchen and dining area, however both rooms have their own en suite bathrooms. The beautiful town of Bury St. Edmunds with its Georgian Theatre Royal and marvellous cathedral is a 20-minute drive, whilst the ancient market town of Newmarket, well known for horses, horse-racing and annual Newmarket Nights open-air concerts, is just 15 minutes away by car. A little further on, you have Cambridge and Norwich, both only less than an hour away from the hotel. Newmarket train station is nine miles away. There is good train/coach access to London.
