Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre. Built to be fun ----- the hut has everything you would expect from a quality hotel room, but in a beautiful country setting ! The hut is on our working farm, and we are available pretty much any time if needed. We love to talk about the farm and what we are doing if that's what you want, but if it's solitude you're looking for, you'll hardly know we're there ! All the benefits of being out in the countryside, but with the nearest pubs and shops only a mile away, and a large town only 3 miles away. Ideally you will have some transport of your own, but there are regular busses from Castleside, which is a mile away.
