Mowbray Stable Cottages nestling on the eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park, is the perfect place to stay for those who love the great outdoors, as well as lovers of The Yorkshire Vet. The cottages are within walking distance of the quaint market town Thirsk. They are great for guests that are less mobile as are level throughout and the two bed cottage boasts a modern and stylish wet room. Kids and adults love to help us feed the pigs, chickens, horses and Spring lambs. Our cottages are part of a small holding and we've been here just under three years. We currently have pigs, chickens and some pet lambs. We hope to grow our little family over time. The cottages are well set back from the main road and have lovely views of the surrounding countryside, whilst only being a miles walk into Thirsk itself. This listing is for sole access of a two bedroom self-contained holiday home. Lucie is at work during the week of normal office hours, though Paul is usually available during this time if needed. We live in a bungalow close to the holiday homes that shares the outside grounds (approximately 2 acres) so are available most evenings again if required. Our cottages are set back from the main road in the village of South Kilvington which is approximately a miles walk into the centre of Thirsk. There are plenty of public footpaths around for short walks in the countryside and a local NISA and garage a minute away in the car or 10 minutes by foot. We have plenty of free parking available. The road is on a main bus link to Northallerton, Ripon and York. The train station is the other side of Thirsk and is approx. 2.5 miles away from the cottages. The two bedroom cottage is self-contained and is a semi-detached. Next door is a one bedroom cottage which is also a holiday home. We are pet friendly though require pets to be well behaved. We ask people to keep noise to a minimum after 10:30 p.m. We also have livestock, though our cockerel cannot be heard from the cottages so no early alarm calls!
