Country Cabin Near Bob's Lake With Games Room

Trillium Woods is the perfect spot to recharge with nature as the seasons change. So much to do inside and out! Snowshoe or x-country ski the lake or Cataraqui Trail. Snowmobile the K&P trail. Play volleyball, horseshoes or lawn darts in warmer months. The gamesroom is equipped with a pool table, darts. board games and puzzles. Grab a book and relax around the wood stove. Stairs and deck will be cleared before arrival during winter. Salt and shovel provided for guests use during your stay. Awaken to the sounds of nature in all it's glory at this cute Non-waterfront cottage. Both bedrooms look out onto the forest where the occasional dear pop by to say hello. We provide all bedding and towels to lessen your load. The main bedroom is equipped with a comfortable queen bed, armoire, ceiling fan, night table and lamp, bamboo shades and lots of natural light. Bedroom #2 has an equally comfortable double bed, armoire, ceiling fan, night table and lamp, full length mirror and bamboo shade. The living room offers relaxation in a modern sectional sofa surrounded on two sides with full length windows to enjoy the view, and a cozy wood burning fireplace that creates a cozy ambience. The kitchen is very well equipped for just about any cooking ventures you have in mind. Pots and pans, frying pans, chef knives, Keurig, French Press, coffee grinder, espresso/cappuccino maker, crock pot, kettle, toaster, Brita pitcher with filter, BBQ utensils, skewers, dishware, cutlery, blender. The screened in octagonal games room has a 4.5' x 8' pool table, dart board, a 2 seat game table with Scrabble, cards, dice and dominoes to enjoy. You can catch up on your reading, finish a crossword puzzle on the settee or play a game of Monopoly, Snakes & Ladders. Trouble, Yahtzee or Jenga or try your hand at a puzzle. Our apologies but pets cannot be accommodated. Smoking is permitted but only outside with an ashtray. A $300 cleaning fee will be charged for any smoking or vaping of any substance inside the premises. Trillium Woods is across the lane from beautiful Bob's Lake, Ontario. It's a short 12 minute drive to Sharbot Lake where you can stock up on groceries at Mike Dean's, dine on the lakeside patio at The Crossing Pub, get your java fix or try an ice cream stuffed donut (in the summer) at The Cardinal Cafe located in a renovated church. Advisable to check online for hours of operation. Pick up supplies at the Rexall Pharmacy, bank at the RBC or take a country drive to sooth your sole. A few minutes along Rd. 38 brings you to Home Hardware and another mile further at Hwy 7 you will find an LCBO, Beer Store and 3 gas bars. The store at the Petro Canada is the quintessential year round cottage stop where you'll find just about everything else you need to enjoy your time in the country. A further 25 minute easterly drive along Hwy 7 will find you in the picturesque town of Perth with all the amenities of a small city including No Frills, Canadian Tire, Dollarama, Starbucks, Dairy Queen, Timmies, home decor shops in the historical downtown area and the areas newest micro-brewery Perth Brewery. The village of Westport is a 33 minute drive south east of the cottage. With it's lovely waterfront, a picnic is a must, as is a visit to The Cove restaurant where music events take place regularly. Cottage decor stores and a stop for the areas best butter tarts make it worth the drive. For golf enthusiasts, there are many courses a short distance from the cottage including: Rivendell Golf in Verona (20 min); Perth Golf (Canada's oldest continuous course - 1hr) and Evergreen & Rideau Lakes Golf courses (40 min) are just outside of Westport. No trip is complete without a stop at Kilborne's On The Rideau in Newboro, 8 minutes from Westport, where you'll find everything from quality western boots and shoes, jewellery and clothing to beautiful furniture and gourmet food items. Trillium's Host, Lori is nearby and can be reached via text if needed. Cozy cottage lane with a mix of summer cottagers and year-round residents. Great lane to walk. 5 minute drive to the extensive K&P Trail. Bob's Lake is one of the larger lakes in the area and is known for it's Bass fishing. The lane is within a 15 minute drive of all essentials. There is a lovely sandy public beach in Sharbot Lake and access to Bob's Lake via the public boat launch 2km from the cottage. Walk, cycle, run, snowshoe or snowmobile through the country roads and K&P Trail or take leisurely drives to the many small towns in the area and discover what makes Frontenac County so inviting. Maple Grove Lane is a quiet cottage community. While we love furry friends, pets (and parties) are not permitted at this property. We want you enjoy your stay and ask that only registered guests are on the property for overnight stays. Please, no tents, RV's or other types of temporary accommodations. You are welcome to smoke outside the cottage with ashtrays provided under the kitchen sink. Blue recycling bins are provided on the side deck and a raccoon proof garbage bin for refuse is located next to the shed. We have you covered with a supply of local firewood for the fire pit, but suggest bringing kindling or fire starters with you during winter months.
