Woldside Cottage is a self catering annex set in the picturesque, rural village of Welton-le-Wold. It is situated approximately 4 miles west of the town of Louth. You will find us down Church Lane or Dark Lane as it is sometimes known as, with its avenue of trees. We are directly opposite The Church of St Martin and the vicarage. Our bijou, clean and tidy cottage has a cosy feel which is an ideal stay for a quiet and relaxing getaway in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations. You can also offer self check-in and other features that support social distancing. Guests will have access to all the amenities of the cottage with private parking for up to 2 large cars as well as additional space. The location is secure with closable gates and the sweeping drive upon entry. There is everything from the big things like a fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave, with a DVD player with movies to watch, to puzzles and games, along with wifi, full fresh linen and towels, even down to fresh coffee and tea provided along with milk so you can make a drink on arrival. There are the basics for cooking and a couple of books if you are feeling adventurous. Complimentary shampoo and conditioner is provided just as a little extra. Breakfast can be provided on request and arranged directly with Rebekah Additional items such as beach towels, windbreaks, baby baths, additional Tupperware etc can all be provided on request. Washing and drying facilities are available upon request @ an addition cost. As and when you need us. We will aim to be there to welcome you, show you what you need to know and then we are at the end of the phone if you need us. The advantage of being nearby is we can answer any queries immediately and get any problems resolved. Otherwise the cottage has an information pack and we will leave you to your own devices. Welton-le-Wold is a lovely little village nestled in a chalk stream valley in the Lincolnshire Wolds. But the village surroundings aren't just beautiful - signs of its history are captured in the landscape that cradles it. Welton-le-Wold is a Medieval village. Welton is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as consisting of 57 households. Convenient for Louth the gateway to the Wolds and the Art Trail. Nearby is Horncastle a market town which is renouned for it's Antique centre. Lincoln and its Cathedral, Castle, Museum and University are thirty minutes drive away. Somersby and Tennyson's origins, Cadwell Park and it's motor racing circuit close by. Ideal low level walking county with outstanding views access to the Viking way. We are a rural holiday cottage so transport really is essential, however there is a bus the number 10 at 'Welton Top' that can be caught from the A157 Lincoln Road, which is a short walk from the cottage, which can take you into the market town of Louth or the city of Lincoln. The self catering holiday cottage is an annex which is attached to our home so we will be sharing the drive with you however there is plenty of space for us all to share.
