Modern, bright and cosy holiday lodge with sea views and hot tub in the tranquil village of East Mersea. Ideal for a romantic couples break or small family get away. It has a large, airy, light open planned kitchen/living area with good sized rooms, and a balcony area for socialising hot tubbing and dining outside. The open plan living room/diner has a smart TV with free view, fireplace, table and chairs for 6 diners, sofas, coffee tables. The kitchen has a breakfast bar, microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and sink. The cupboards are equipped with essential utensils, crockery and glasses. All of the bedrooms (2x double, 1x twin) have bedside tables, mirrors and a TV with freeview. If booking for 5/6 you will have access to the master bedroom en-suite (shower, sink and toilet). Bookings of 4 or less will be allocated the twin and/or double room as appropriate. The bathroom has a bath with shower, hand towel, hand soap and a toilet roll provided. There is also a hair dryer in the double room. The utility room has a sink and washer/dryer plus a cupboard with hoover and ironing equipment. There is also a travel high chair in the cupboard. The balcony at the back of the lodge is entered through patio doors. It has an in-built hot tub, coal bbq for use April-August (bring own coal) and rattan furniture. Suitable for outdoor dining. There is also outdoor lighting on a timer. Guests have sole, private use of the lodge; we do not book several guests in at once. Guests have private access to the lodge with their own key collection from a key box on the property. There is ample free parking next to the lodge. If booking for two the double room will be allocated unless you request separate rooms. *Please note beds will only be made up for the number of booked guests; the price reflects this and other rooms will not be made up. If booking for four then 1 twin and 1 double will be available. The master bedroom is opened for bookings of 5/6 otherwise is locked as this is often used by us when we take a relaxing break of our own! The lodge is self check-in from 3pm and checkout by 11am. The keysafe is located on the decking by the hot tub; a code will be sent to you prior to arrival. We are always available via text or call should you need help; the welcome pack has details. Other than that we hope to leave you undisturbed to enjoy our ‘little bit of paradise!’ Oyster Rise and the surrounding area is lovely as this is a new part to the resort. It is a quiet neighbourhood so please keep the noise down after 11pm. From the lodge you can see the sea! In front of the lodge is a small field with football goals for family fun. Just past the field is a play park, the clubhouse, swimming pool and beach. This is a 5 minute walk. East and West Mersea are beach towns and a relaxed way of life. In East Mersea you can visit Cudmore Grove country park. In West Mersea there are boats and crabbing from the pontoon plus lots of excellent places to try the famous oysters! Everything is within walking distance if you enjoy a beach walk! Pubs, shops, restaurants and cafes are mainly in West Mersea which is 5 min drive, 45 min beach walk. There is plenty of parking on East and West Mersea, but not many local taxi services. One is Mersea Island Cars (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) There is a local bus service run by first group. Timetables found here- (Website hidden by Airbnb) One bath towel per guest is provided as well as a hand towel in each bathroom, a kitchen towel, cloth or sponge and dishwasher tablet. On site there is a club house with bar and food amenities, free WiFi, entertainment events, a small shop, amusement arcade, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, pool table, sky sports and crazy golf for you to use between APRIL and 15th NOVEMBER. This is all closed outside of these months but you still have use of the hot tub!! You will need to call the park reception to book the swimming pool should you wish to use it. They have an indoor and a heated outdoor pool. Just book under the name Marc at 56 oyster rise. It gets booked up quickly. So best to book ahead especially in school holidays.
