Self Contained Rural Barn

Our recently renovated comfortable barn is set in lovely English countryside surrounded by fields with lots of wonderful walks and cycle rides straight from the front door, yet with easy access to Basingstoke and many destinations. The barn is very comfortable, spacious and light. Downstairs there is a double height open plan room with a sitting, dining and kitchen area . Upstairs has one spacious double bedroom with king sized bed and crisp white bed linen. The two single beds on the mezzanine are in the eaves so have restricted head room, yet are very cosy. The Shower room with a walk-in shower is on the ground floor. There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. The kitchen area has the following appliances: fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster. A BBQ is also available. Guests have their own key to the Barn and can come and go as they please. There is ample parking. Special offer for 4 nights: Monday - Friday @ £150 for 1 person plus £15 weekly cleaning. The Barn is also available for long term lets at discounted prices. Hannah The Barn is set in lovely countryside surrounded by fields yet is only 7 minutes by car from Basingstoke and J6 of the M3 is within 3 miles. The property is accessed down a small lane with only 2 other houses in the hamlet of Winslade. We have fantastic access to lots of walks and cycle rides directly from the door. There are lots of good pubs nearby: The Jolly Farmer at Cliddesden is within 20 minute walk, The Fur and Feathers, Herriard(5 mins by car), the Purefoy Arms, Preston Candover (15 mins by car) & The Hoddington Arms, Upton Grey (10 mins by car). Basingstoke has a large shopping centre, 2 multiscreen cinemas, 2 theatres and the Milestones Museum. We are well situated for exploring many local towns and villages such as: Winchester - Cathedral city and Ancient Capital of Wessex with good shops, restaurants and places of historical interest to visit Alresford - lovely market town with interesting shops and places to eat Chawton - Jane Austen's house Selborne - Gilbert White's Museum Alton to Alresford - The Watercress Steam Train Line The Vyne and West Dean House - National Trust Properties Stratfield Park and Estate Highclere Castle - of Downton Abbey fame Wellington Country Park The Bombay Sapphire Distillery We are also well situated if you are going to CarFest South, The Grange Opera or Farnborough Air Show. A car is necessary, although there is a good local taxi service. We can do shuttles to the station or local pubs! Basingstoke station provides very good access to London (50 mins), the South West, Oxford and the Midlands as well as Heathrow, Gatwick and Southampton Airports. Delicious diy continental breakfast with tea & coffee is supplied and the fridge stocked with milk, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juice, butter, jams, bread & pastries. A cooked breakfast and other meals can be supplied on request.
