The space This bright and spacious two-bedroom apartment has an open-plan living room / kitchen divided by a convenient breakfast bar. The tastefully decorated living room is flooded with natural light and furnished with two comfy sofas, a large coffee table, smart TV and a cozy (decorative) fireplace. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals, with all modern appliances, including a dishwasher. Up against a window at one end of the kitchen is a dining table that sits four guests. The roomy back bedroom has a private deck that overlooks the back yard and is furnished with a queen size bed, a work space suitable for a laptop and plenty of storage space. The cozy second bedroom is furnished with a double bed and also has a work space for a laptop, as well as plenty of closet space and decorative touches. The Neighborhood The apartment is located on a quiet residential street in the North Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville (NOBE) district. The central location offers guests easy access to a multitude of shopping, restaurant and entertainment options both Downtown and Uptown. If you’re looking for outdoor activities, you can bike up to Lake Merritt or Lake Temescal, or take the ferry from Jack London Square and explore San Francisco’s Pier 39, Angel Island or Sausalito. San Francisco itself is just a twenty minute train ride from the nearby BART station! Getting around There are many major transit bus lines within walking distance, as well as the nearby Bart stations. If you prefer to rent a car there is parking in front of the house or close by, while Uber, Lyft or other ride-sharing apps are also a good way to get to the BART stations. Ford Gobike is another great option and there are bike stations where you can pick up and drop off bikes all over the Bay Area, San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley.
