Serene, wooded 15 acre property with pool. Main house includes 2 kitchens, 2 fireplaces, a master BR with outdoor deck and firepit, 2 person shower, jetted tub and kingsize bed in addition to 2 smaller bedrooms and 2.5 more baths. There are also 2 separate guest houses on the property including a loft apartment across driveway that can sleep 3 and a separate 1BR cottage with pullout couch. A chef's kitchen in main house is connected to a huge unheated screened-in porch overlooking the pool. The owners recently completed a new addition to the main house. The property allows up to 4 separate individuals/couples/small families to have their own private spaces and kitchens but be able to come together in the main house or by the pool. All 3 houses have washer/dryers. The main house has hi-speed internet, cable and a 55" TV with two smaller TVs in 2 bedrooms. The bar has two types of kombucha and one beer on tap. The mainhouse has an XL Big Green Egg and PitBarrel Smoker in addition to a brand new large eat-in kitchen with highend appliances. The loft in the barn has internet access and cable TV; the cottage is currently not connected. On the forested property, you'll also find beautiful views, gardens and forest glens, a fire pit and a hiking trail behind the main house up to a reservoir. TVs are rarely turned on. The owners collect dragons and there are well over 100 dragons residing at Dragon's Rest. Feel free to try to count them. Guests will have access to the whole property. The barn and cottage are typically shut down in the winter but the main house can sleep up to eight with the sleeper couch in the sunroom. Property has a caretaker who will manage the pool and grounds during your stay and can help with problems if any arise as soon as he can make himself available. Owners can be reached by cell if needed. In the area, there is some of the best hiking on the East Coast, kayaking on the Hudson, great antiquing and the extraordinarily beautiful Garrison public golf course about 10 minutes away. There are also great restaurants, lots of arts exhibits including the Dia: Beacon and Storm King and many historical sites to visit. car. The house is about 35-40 minutes across the river from West Point and only one hour and 15 minutes from New York City by train. The house is about 15 minutes from the Cold Spring train station and only 3 miles from Rte. 84 with easy access to the Taconic. You will need a car to get around and there is plenty of parking at the house.
