Lovely bright, two-bedroomed, terraced house ideally situated in a quiet street in the heart of Hebden Bridge, within easy, level walking distance of all the shops, bars, venues, restaurants and cafes, as well as many walking and cycling routes. The stylish living room with period features, good-sized bedrooms along with small but fully equipped kitchen make this a cosy and relaxed space where families, couples and independent visitors will enjoy a welcoming and comfortable visit. This south-facing, victorian house is on a cobbled no-through road which makes it sunny and unusually quiet for a town centre house. It has a fabulous central location which is a few minutes easy walk (no hills) from many lovely, independent shops, cafes and restaurants and the street is right next to one of the main filming locations for the 'Happy Valley' BBC drama series. It is exactly half a mile on foot from the train station and very close to several bus-stops. This is a compact two bedroomed house with the bedrooms being on separate floors and reached by fairly narrow stairs. The first floor bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed and is on the same floor as the bathroom which has a bath and a shower. The attic bedroom has two single beds as well as a day-bed which can be made into an occasional bed for an extra one or two visitors. The living room has a stone-flagged floor and a traditional fireplace along with a dining table and chairs. We have a TV with Netflix installed and a comfortable sofa. The kitchen is very compact and has a fridge, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as cooking equipment and crockery. Please note that if you are bringing very young children you will need to bring your own safety equipment such as stair-gates as the house may not be safe enough for them. Access to the whole house I or my sister will be available for any help and local information you might need during your stay as we both live locally. During the day there is plenty to do: Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area is packed with walks and cycle routes and is surrounded by beautiful hills, valleys, moorland, riverside, canals and woodland. It is a very diverse landscape with plenty of signs of its industrial heritage. Easy walks along the canal and around the park can also be reached and the park has a great children's playground and a skatepark. For those who like to shop, Hebden Bridge is famous for its range of quirky, independent shops including clothes, jewellery, homewares and a few excellent vintage shops. There is also a very wide range of cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants within walking distance including the renowned Trades Club which is home to many events and gigs. Hebden Bridge also has a very popular independent cinema and theatre. The house is half a mile from the train station, which has frequent trains to Leeds and Manchester and is close to many of the town centre bus-stops. There are two taxi ranks in the town, but if you bring your own car, the house has its own free parking space outside.
