Situated in the lovely village of Great Shefford, nestled in the Lambourn Valley, Great Shefford is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a traditional country pub and convenience store within 5 minute walk. The accommodation is placed 2 miles from Junction 14 of the M4 and is easy driving distance via country roads to landmarks such as Newbury Racecourse, Vodafone Headquarters, Lambourn, Hungerford and Wantage. A comfortable modern space with luxurious touches such as air-conditioning, Gigaclear super fast fibre broadband (200mbs/second download and upload) - essential as coverage in this area is not good and USB charger ports. The accommodation also benefits from central heating, a Smart TV and softened water. The bed is a SuperKing size (6ft) with a comfortable Tempur "Celebrity" mattress. There are two basic sofa beds which would be more suitable for children, although we are happy to let one child under 12 stay for free if using the existing bedding. We can accommodate five people, although please keep in mind that space will then become more limited. There is free parking on site and we are able to help you with taxi/minibus bookings. Electric car charging must have prior permission as charges may apply. As the annexe is independent, you will be free to come and go as you please. We are pleased to supply teas, coffee, sugar and fresh milk. Please feel free to wander around our beautiful large back garden which backs onto the River Lambourn which is also within an area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to the abundance of nature and natural beauty, and is also reported to be amongst the top ten cleanest rivers in Europe. Take a seat and watch the ducks swim past while your children make use of our enclosed trampoline. We can be flexible with check-in times depending on reservations.
