Relax in this quiet spot on the river Swale. Ideal for walking as a stop off or as a base. Newly redecorated bedrooms in family house. Private bathroom. With the coast to coast route just across the river this is an ideal spot for walkers and people wanting to relax. You can sit in the garden by the riverside and enjoy the views of Fremington Edge. There are many walks to be had from Grinton, and Reeth is a short walk away. The two bedrooms are next to each other and have their own hallway with a lockable door separating the rooms from the rest of the house so the two rooms can be left open for families if preferred but still secure. Both have double beds with highly rated and comfortable Nectar mattresses. Both have 32" TVs with Netflix, Prime and Sky Q with movies and entertainment etc There are two family bathrooms . Yours is upstairs and is next door to your room. It has a bath but no shower. The second is downstairs. It has a large shower which is very warm and powerful. You can use this room if you prefer a shower but you will be sharing with us as this will be our main bathroom when we have guests. We will be adding en-suites and upgrading the bathrooms over the next year, currently the en-suites are just cupboards for your clothes. We hope we have made a nice budget friendly stay in a lovely area. We are also happy for one night bookings and I can’t find any others in this area that will do that. We are also happy for longer stays and have local walks to share. We have no secure garage but are happy for cyclists to bring their bikes inside, we will put them in the kitchen, we appreciate how much a cyclist loves their bike. We have one small child. We are happy for children to stay. There is a pub selling food two doors away and Reeth is a fifteen minute walk with three pubs all serving food and a few cafes. You will have two bedrooms which are at the river end of the house. You enter a small corridor and the rooms are opposite each other . You can lock the door that enters the corridor so if you are a family you can have your room doors open . The rooms are the other side of a two feet thick wall so noise from the house or your bathroom will be minimal. You will have sole access to the main bathroom which, although not en-suite is the next room along the landing. This bathroom has a bath but no shower. We have a bathroom downstairs which we will use but it does have a shower. If you prefer the shower you are welcome to use it but this bathroom is in need of some renovation so is a bit tired but clean. You can use the garden and we can provide a table and chairs to sit by the river and you can use the barbecue. We prefer to give you space as we have used Airbnb a lot in various countries and that is what we prefer. However we are also happy to chat and give advice on the local area, places to eat etc. We are very friendly just don’t want to impose. The Swale Trail is two minutes away and goes for twelve miles or so to Keld. It’s mostly off road cycle path and very family friendly. We are in the heart of Swaledale so there are many many walks, most of which are circular and not too taxing but give tremendous views of the dale. The coast to coast route is literally across the bridge. The Dales Bike center is less than five minutes walk . Reeth is fifteen minutes walk. It is a pretty village with pubs, cafes, ice cream parlour etc The area is very popular with walkers so most spots get used for parking. The green in Reeth has cheap parking . There is a bus - the little white bus that runs regularly from Richmond to Reeth and passes by the house . The bus stop is around the corner from the house. It runs regularly so you can visit the market town of Richmond easliy without a car. The Dales bike center is less than a five minute walk from here and has bikes and ebikes to hire and a cafe and cakery.
