Welcome to our warm, cosy house - a real home from home only minutes from Lincoln University, Castle, Cathedral and the city itself. You will have the place to yourselves while you explore all that Lincoln and its surroundings have to offer. We have supplied everything we can think of to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. A well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room with Virgin TV and high speed Virgin M100 fibre broadband. There is also a private garden with patio furniture where you can relax with a drink or a meal after a day exploring this beautiful area. If you're a keen cook, feel free to use the herbs planted in the garden to enhance your meal! We will be there to greet you on arrival and will do our best to answer any questions you may have during your stay. Our house is perfectly situated on the edge of Lincoln, within easy walking distance of the city along the Fossdyke Navigation. Enjoy the picturesque houseboats as you stroll along the paved canal bank to the Brayford - Lincoln's stunning marina with the University on one side, and countless restaurants and an Odeon cinema on the other. Walk in the other direction along the canal to the pub for a relaxing drink or a meal. Within a few minutes' walk you have horseriding, tennis, golf and fishing on offer, as well as the vast area of the West Common for leisurely country walks. All this, and yet you are within walking distance of historic Uphill Lincoln with its world famous Cathedral, Castle (housing a copy of Magna Carta) and Steep Hill with its individual and quirky range of shops and tea rooms. There is so much to see and do in this unspoiled area - explore and enjoy! Food shopping is easy and within walking distance - the nearest shop is only a few minutes' walk away. You can walk into the city from here - about 20 minutes along the canal to the city centre, or about 20 minutes across the common to the historic centre with its cathedral and castle on top of the hill. So no need to take the car anywhere to explore the city. The paved footpath along the Fossdyke is very popular with walkers and cyclists alike. You are a short drive to other attractions included laser tag, Lincoln water park (our version of Total Wipeout!) and the picturesque hills and villages of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Virgin M100 fibre broadband, Virgin TV, Netflix (for your own account)
