The idyllic family holiday in North Norfolk!
A wonderfully light and spacious house, as soon as you walk in you will feel relaxed! You can park right outside, dump your bags in the hall and explore the space. Plenty of bedrooms and social spaces so no-one gets on top of one another; teens down to babies, oldies and tired parents, young couples, dog walkers...all will feel comfortable in this luxurious and welcoming house. Come rain or shine, Sleepers is a great place to hang out. Downstairs, there's a lovely open feel to the house. There's a downstairs double bedroom straight off the hall which is very useful if you are in a wheelchair or can't manage stairs. You can hang your coats and dump your wellies in the hallway then wander straight through to the huge kitchen to pop the kettle on. Straight in front of you are french windows to the garden which is safely enclosed so young children or dogs can wander in and out. The sun-room has direct access to the garden too and some very comfortable sofas plus a children's area with games and colouring things to keep them happy whilst you relax in front of the TV or with a book and a cuppa! In the sitting room there is a log burner plus logs (use a respectful amount please) and a piano as well another TV. Washing machine is in a cupboard and a downstairs loo. The kitchen is super well-equipped with all mod cons and plenty of space for food storage. DAB radio, microwave, double fan oven, etc. The table is adjustable to suit your needs and there is a high chair available. Upstairs, the bedrooms are large and comfortable and spare airbeds are available for any extra sleepers. Constant hot water and the heating is easily adjustable. The entire house and grounds are yours to enjoy. I am local and certainly available in the rare event of an emergency. Please feel you can contact me at any point if you have any queries or specific requirements. Behind the house is a fabulous large play park with all kinds of amenities (usual swings and wonderful climbing frames etc) including a rebound net and goals for footballers and a brand new pair of tennis courts available to hire very cheaply. Dogs are allowed on this field which is never crowded and very spacious: a wonderful and useful addition to this property! The location of this house is perfect. You can stroll down the lane to the Staithe in 5 minutes, good for when you forget your sunglasses! It's an extremely quiet pocket of the coast so never over-crowded even in high season. For children (of any age!) crabbing is a must (Wells next the sea is a good place to get your kit-bacon the favourite bait) also paddling in the shallows and playing in the mud! The walk out to the sandy beach is stunning with views unchanged in centuries. You can hire kayaks or a boat from the boathouse and locally you can go out and fish or see the Seals. The great gastro-pub, The Hero, is a short stagger away. It is child-friendly and welcomes dogs. The coastal hopper bus service is reliable and convenient and a great to explore the lovely towns of North Norfolk. Burnham Market is a 10 minute drive and has the famous Gurney's fish shop, the Hoste Arms and a selection of boutique shops to tempt you. Don't forget to visit the Hat shop, which has a wide range of pocket money toys for the children and Mabel's, the vintage sweet shop. Pick up the Coastal hopper opposite the pub. The neighbouring property is also a holiday let so the driveway is shared but there is plenty of room for several cars.
