Wake up in peaceful countryside surrounded by nature! Mark and Susie welcome you to stay on our family farm of unsurpassed beauty. Our local knowledge helps you plan your adventure with walking, cycling, fishing or wine tasting. We provide home grown & local produce for organic bed and continental breakfast* with stunning lakeside views, watch the birds feed from your bed or the comfy lounge with it's open fire in winter or sip a drink beside the lake in the pretty guest garden. *Cooked £7.50pp Mark's parents converted the farm's Oast house and outbuildings to create a wonderful, unique, vernacular home. We've since diversified from cattle and sheep to donkeys, geese and hens with tourism but are as self-sufficient, sustainable, and organic as possible. We use eco-friendly products and minimise our carbon footprint by tree planting, composting, reducing energy consumption and re-cycling. Porch, corridors, bedroom, guest lounge, kitchen (for breakfast) outside patio with table and chairs by lake and bench in guest garden. Walk to see animals, around lake and campsite. We greet you on arrival and give you a quick tour of the house and garden and then you are free to come and go as you please. We are lucky to have a local pub The Brewers Arms just walkable at a mile up the road and Hidden Spring Vineyard also in Vines Cross, with local shops and garage in Horam, 2 miles away. You can cycle here using the Cuckoo Trail (Website hidden by Airbnb) and we can provide safe storage for your bikes. By train: Buxted, Polegate (taxis available) or Stonegate stations are 15-20 minutes drive. By air: Gatwick is a 45 minute drive away By sea: Newhaven ferry port is 35 minutes, Southampton and Dover 2 hours drive
