Quiet charming room in the city center

Our house is located in the upcoming cultural center of Leuven city. We live in a quiet street in a beautifully renovated house with authentic wooden floors. We are easily reached from the railway station, a 15 min walk trough the shopping street. The city center is 1km away. We are always happy to give advise on where to eat, what to see, what not to miss. The bathroom is renewed recently: on the pictures you still see the old shower and toilet. Guests often feel right at home in this authentic room ;) There is no cooking stove provided, because of fire safety. Further more there is no way to get the cookingdamps out. And doing the dishes of big pots and pans is not so easy in the small sink. These reasons make we don't allow cooking stoves that guests bring. The room is under the roof next to a small basic "kitchen-area' (watercooker, oven, micro-wave, fridge freezer), sitting area and bathroom. you enter through a common hall way. We like welcoming you with a cup of tea or coffee and always enjoy sharing what good places to visit, which cultural event to attend our where to go eat. * There are 3 supermarkets right around the corner (Aldi, Colruyt and Lidl) * We are near Opek ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) the place to be for a cultural evening. * De Hoorn is the nicest bar/restaurant in the close neighbourhoud ( (Website hidden by Airbnb) * Noordoever is a open vegan (co-working) space with delicious menu. We are a 15 min walk away from the railway station. If you come by plane, Brussels Airport (Zaventem) is the easiest option: 12 minutes by train, about the fastest connection to any city in Belgium. The connection with Charlerloi Airport is more difficult: the plane ticket might be cheaper, but in the end you pay more to reach Leuven and it takes a lot longer. If you come by car it is cheapest to park in the Micnklers parking (J.P. Minckelersstraat 94 - (Website hidden by Airbnb) Our two children (yes, yes, twins ;) ) Lena-Lou and Sebastian are born in Feb 2019 ! They sleep in the room underneath the guestroom. We have a wooden house and they are lively children, so this can be a less ideal combination for light sleepers... But I must say, we have as many guests who are not bothered by their noises at all: and they love to spend time with them too !
