Beautiful Cotswold Cottage in Fairford

Beautifully presented traditional Cotswold cottage in the heart of Fairford. The cottage sleeps 4 adults comfortably across 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine, large fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. The sitting room features a wood burning stove, perfect for cosy nights in, as well as board games, books, children's toys and a range of DVDs. There is a courtyard and large private walled garden attached to the cottage solely for guest use. Keble Cottage is conveniently located in the middle of the Cotswolds market town of Fairford, and is attached to Keble House, the birthplace of John Keble, one of the founders of the Oxford movement and who Keble College at Oxford University is named after. The cottage itself is a traditional, inviting Cotswold cottage with accommodation split over 2 floors. On the ground floor is a light and cosy sitting room with wood burner, king sized bedroom with separate bathroom, and kitchen with dining space. On the first floor is a twin bedroom (the beds can be joined together to form a superking sized bed if required) and ensuite shower room. All the rooms either overlook the tree lined driveway or courtyard or overlook the private cottage garden. Always happy to answer any questions and help make your stay as comfortable as possible. Fairford is a beautiful Cotswold market town with a variety of shops, including butchers, chemist, post office and coffee shops, as well as various pubs, restaurants and takeaways. There is a market every Wednesday morning selling local produce as well as 2 small supermarkets that sell all the essential items. There are plenty of walks along the river and around the countryside including walks to neighbouring villages. Cirencester is a 20 minute drive away and Cheltenham is 35 minutes away. It is a 5 minute walk from the cottage to the High Street in Fairford which includes a chemist, bookshop, Co-Op, butcher, Post Office, 3 coffee shops and other various independent shops as well as a range of takeaways and pubs/restaurants. There is also a children's playpark 2 minutes walk away! Complimentary welcome items are provided on arrival which include essentials (milk, bread, eggs, logs for the wood burner in winter months) as well as a couple of extras. If the cot is required, please let me know on booking the cottage so that we are able to assemble it. The cot is a full sized travel cot (60cm x 120cm) with a full sized and ‘proper’ cot mattress.
